    After 2 games

Rimando - played a lot better against Chicago - overall the defense has played a lot better in recent years

    Petke - solid and effective

Nelsen - not a big fan but he is getting the job done.

Pridaeux - did not think DC could play 3 in the back w/petke, BP, and nelsen --- I thought they did a good job Sat night BP played well

Namoff - played well out of position

    Alegria - no complaints

Kovalenko - did not think he should be playing D-Mid but he is playing very well -- very solid -- (My MVP so far)

Convey - solid not bad - I would like to see more

Olsen - total play has been excellant -- more effective against KC than the fire

Etchever --- Would like to see him shoot more on the free kicks

Stewart -- invisable need to put him at forward

Quaranta -- needs to make better runs to getting scoring position

Q2 -- invisable Saturday (i was the beer line on his offsides call)

Ray needs to shake things up Saturday night

    Rimando

    Petke Nelsen Pridaeux

    Kovalenko

    Olsen Chino Etcheverry Convey

    Stewart Q1/Q2/AE/AC

In short, I thought DC would score a lot of goals and give up a lot of goals this year. IMO the defense has played well (not against top strikers). I think our problem is we have not generated enough scoring chances. Saturday night Q1 and Q2 ran around without a purpose. the midfield did not have any one to pass the ball to uptop -- instead we will pull the ball back around and make the long switch.
