Re: Alfonso Alves the dutch league is probably the most offensive out of any of the major european leagues so any goal-scoring stats coming from there should be looked at with a grain of salt. no doubt that he has been a consistent player for some smaller european clubs--in sweden and now in holland. it wouldnt surprise me if he is transferred this season--just a hunch but maybe werder bremen will consider him as a replacement for klose (who is likely going to be sold this offseason). or even barcelona, who have no depth at forward.

Is he one of those players that don't do crap unless the ball is passed to his feet or let the rest of the team do all the hard work and then shows up just to put the ball in the back of the net? I want players who give 100% no matter how meaningless the game is.
