Well, Ohio State wins the tite.

    Here's my final poll:

    1) Miami. Easily the best team in the country. Overcame five turnoves to beat the Buckeyes fair and square only to get flat out raped in the end by the officials. I really can't see how anyone could pick any other team as the number one.

    2) Ohio State. I gotta hand it to them, they stuck with the Hurricanes all the way till they got the loss taken away from them. Great season.

    3) USC. What an awesome showing against Iowa. Easily could have beat them by a good thrity or more. Class group.

    4) Oklahoma. Big win over Washington State in the Rose Bowl.

    5) Georgia. I'm still not all that impressed with them, but since so many other teams lost, I guess that this is where they go.

    6) Iowa. Horrible. Just horrible against USC.

    7) Michigan. Pretty good win over Florida, not that Florida was really all that good, mind you, but definately a great game to watch.

    8) Texas. Win over LSU brings them back into the top ten.

    9) Washington State. Played someone good. Lost.

    10) Kansas State. Man, it's bad when this team makes the top ten.

Enjoy. I assume this is pretty much exactly how everyone else's polls will go as well.

1 The National Champions - Best defense in the Nation, Clarett, 3 good recievers, and a cluth passer
2 USC - Loaded offensivly and defensivly
3 Miami - Finally the truth about Dorsey is shown. Just not that good of a qb, a player who lived off the greatness of his teamates. You can't say this is a fluke because against good defenses Dorsey throws INTs. And Ohio St knew they would get them
    4 Georgia - No weaknesses.
5 Oklahoma - I said it before, and I'll say it again, they have no goto player on offense. Not at TB, at Reciever, or the qb. Without that they won't win against the elite

If you don't put OSU number one, you are a complete idiot. Believe what you want, but I do think that the scoreboard said 31-24 OHIO STATE. Not 24-17 Miami. Get you head out of your ass.

But who else would you put there? I would take Pittsburgh over a lot of teams in this country. 9-4 record. Won their bowl game 38-17. Should have beaten Miami at the Orange Bowl. It was either Pittsburgh or Washington St. Pittsburgh won so they got my vote.

Excellent analysis. If Miami played OSU two more times I ventuire to say that OSU would not win again.

Fidlerre my friend, I'm just a realist. Look if my football Giants had played the Bills two more times the year we won the Super Bowl, I bet we'd have lost the next two games. The Bills were clearly the better team much the same as Miami was the better team. I'm glad you have pride in OSU, but let's be realistic how would have OSU scored if Miami hadn't gifted them the ball inside the red zone three times?

and no we still speak English, but the French would still be drinking Vichy water. :D

And Miami would have to deal with OSU's defense, yet again, and again. Their front 4 alone was able to pressure Dorsey, they effectively shut down their rushing attack ....

i am a realist, miami did nothing all night as well. the game was a defensive battle...what exactly did miami do besides drive the ball about 50 yards for each touchdown. no team was going to go 80 yards for a td last night, the defenses were both too tough...realist, the realist in me says the game is played one time, and the realist in me says we capitalized and they didnt...

yea that is too bad...maybe the french would be better for it ;)

Yes, but despite losing their bowl, who do you think is better ND or Pitt? ND had a much harder schedule. ND should be rated higher than freakin' Pitt.

You are telling me that Notre Dame should be ranked higher than Pittsburgh? You are also the one that says that Miami should be ranked higher than Ohio State.

Look, I still think Miami is a better team than OSU, and that out of 10 games, Miami would win 7.

And yeah, ND is miles better than Pitt.
