North Melbourne v Sydney, Collingwood v Fremantle, and Hawthorn v Western Bulldogs.
I went along to the Geelong vs Richmond game last night and had a great time, especially with my team having a great win. The Cats attacked the football much harder then their Richmond opponents and had control of the match from beginning to end. Was also great after the game when Cameron Mooney came up to me in the cheersquad to celebrate our first victory of the year.
How can I say this without giving away the result for our USA-based posters? Hmmmmmmmmmm... Oh, screw it, I'm going for it. Bless Ben Graham's heart. His return, as well as that of veterans Peter Riccardi and Brenton Sanderson for Geelong, lifted the whole team. The goals Graham kicked in the opening quarter really, really set the tone for what happened last night.
Sunday's scores: North Melbourne v Sydney report, from Manuka Oval, Canberra... [result]North Melbourne 10.10 (70) Sydney 18.13 (121)[/result] Collingwood v Fremantle report, at Telstra Dome... [result]Collingwood 7.12 (54) Fremantle 12.16 (88)[/result] Hawthorn v Western Bulldogs report, at the MCG... [result]Hawthorn 14.13 (97) Western Bulldogs 16.13 (109)[/result] And I went 5/8 on my tipping this weekend, 20/32 for the season so far.
The [R] on the title of this thread would indicate that results may be found within the posts, so that should be enough warning for those who don't know the results as yet. Ben Graham was fantastic on Saturday night, presenting himself up forward and kicking 6 goals. This made life easier for Kingsley, (3 goals) Haynes, (2 goals) and Playfair (2 goals) as our midfield players had the confidence to kick long into the forward line. As for my tipping, I'm on 18 after getting 4/8 on the weekend. I missed on Melbourne, St Kilda, Bulldogs and Sydney.
No worries, I successfully negotiated around it...more success than I had videotaping Round 4...I didn't see a shred! Wacky round, though eh?
