I'm so glad we finally beat Al Qadsia but I feel we really need to strengthen our squad in the summer, if we plan on winning the AFC Cup again.

We have a lot of deadwood to get rid of and now is the time, in my opinion.

Wehdat destroyed Duhok 5-1. Duhok got a goal on a swift counter against the run of play with everyone up for a corner. But Wehdat were awarded a penalty minutes later, the Duhok player was sent off for handling the ball en route to goal. Shelbaieh missed the ensuing penalty but were awarded another one (again Duhok hand ball in the box) Hassan Abdel-Fattah made no mistake from the spot. 1-1 at the half.

The second half was played entirely in Duhok's half they valiantly held out for a while but the goals were bound to come. Abdullah Dheeb off the bench made it 2-1, Shelbaieh made it 3-1, Abdelfattah had a fantastic header to make it 4-1, and Shelbaieh rounded out the scoring to make it 5-1. Very, very impressed by Wehdat- 8 Jordanian National teamers in their ranks my pick to win it all.

I'm not entirely pleased with the manner in which we won the game, and I'm slightly worried about us losing in the away fixture. I was generally satisfied with the players we brought in over the summer, but I think the players we lost during the transfer window left a huge gap to fill, which might cost us the tournament.

On a separate note, it was very nice to see Robbie Fowler play in Kuwait. So hot!

Good Luck to our Iraqi teams Arbil & Dohuk.
as for Dohuk Its not impossible to win 4-0 in Iraq.
I like Al-Wehdat because most of my friends are Palestinians. If they pass Dohuk I'll cheer for them for sure.

aagh I cant wait for next season, Al-Zawraa is finally will compete next year :D

Where will be de final match? Is it already announced?

What if Nasaf wins UZB Cup and AFC Cup, how many teams will participate in Asian Champions league 2012 from UZB?
It seems to me det if Nasaf wins both, then only 2 teams will participate, league winner and Nasaf. If it wins only AFC Cup, then 3 teams? league winner, runner up and Nasaf as AFC Cup winner?
    dru, jonny help!!!:)

Final as I understand will be held at the home ground of the winners of the following: Nasaf/Chonburi or Al Wehdat/Duhok. Whoever wins that semi final matchups once we get there.

As it currently stands, if Nasaf win the UZB Cup then they should go directly into the ACL Group Stages along with the UZB League winner (looks like Bunyodkor again).

All that would mean is that there would be one less team in the qualifying rounds of ACL. Nothing more drastic would happen.

So, it is better for Nasaf not win both tournaments, AFC and UZB Cups, but only AFC. In this case, we may participate with 3 teams at Champions league, otherwise with only 2 teams.
One more stupid rule of AFC??:(

    That's correct.

And if that was to happen, you would probably find that the AFC would take away your AFC Cup allocation which doesn't trouble Bunyodkor and Paktakor, but it would in the process stop the development of your other clubs.

And both teams to appear in the ACL playoffs, although Nasaf also have an Uzbek cup final to play, win that and they go directly to Group Stage.

Al Kuwait on the other hand also qualifed for the 2010 edition but the Kuwaiti league did not meet the requirements.

Assuming nothing is changed, I expect Nasaf to lift the championship on 29th October and bring the crown to Central Asia for the first time. This would also be the first time that the trophy could be taken from West Asia.
