I hope South China gets Da Nang instead of Muang Thong United. I know nothing about either but judging from Muang Thong's away draw with SAFFC, I think they will be very, very hard to beat.

Oh no, I should have kept my fingers tied... South China gets Muang Thong United and will play them on 24th Feb!!! It will be a very tricky game for South China.

Da Nang is in Tai Po's group. I suppose that's better for Tai Po.

    Look at this
    http://the-afc.com/en/afc-cup-2010/afc-cup-2010-draw

Winner and runner-up of group G will play those from group E of west asia right in round of 16. This is different compared to east-west separated round of 16 last year. I think South China and MTU will have to fight to top group G to avoid traveling to west asia too soon.

This is bad news for South China. But at least the majority are in Japan being thrashed by Korea, Japan and China in the EAFF. They should come back feeling very fit and in shape for Muang Thong United.

The other Hong Kong team Tai Po seems to have the better draw then. They have lots of young players and if they can play like Eastern did last year, they have a chance.

weird itough they only allow 3 foreigner in afc cup since i can't see precious name in Sriwijaya or that new korean goal keeper in persiwa in the squad list released by afc.

I think the regulation for foreign players in theAFC cup is the same with the one in the ACL...3+1 (1 is from Asia). As for Sriwijaya, they didn't include precious perhaps they looking to register PAVEL SOLIMIN(Uzbekistan NT striker) and for Persiwa Wamena that South korean goal keeper has been released from the club because his quality is below standard.

It seems there is no easy match this year.

Interesting result, very surprised at this outcome. Seem's previous experiences of AFC Cup action have helped Victory out. A team i normally see as cannon fodder.

My reflection on some of the results:

Kuwait SC 2:2 Al Hilal of Yemen

Very surprised by this result. Al Hilal will be very happy with the away point and with only 3 teams in the group, they will believe that the ycan make the knockout rounds for the first time

    Al Wihdat 2:4 Al Rayyan

Al Rayyan may just show that Qatari clubs are too strong at this level. A resounding away win from a Rayyan team that has generally struggled this year.

    Selangor 0:0 Binh Duong

Two decent teams in the ASEAN region, not surprised at the outcome. Selangor have gone into this game with a bit of form. Binh Duong aren't pushovers.

I am surprised by two of the results: Kuwait SC drawing and Selangor drawing with Binh Duong. Both Kuwait SC and Binh Duong were very good last year. Is Selangor playing with foreign players?

Nope. Selangor dont have foreigners. They played well last night but lack a bit luck to win. Binh Duong players seemed tired from traveling.

    Persiwa 2-3 VB Sports FT

    More surprise from Maldives teams.

What's wrong with Indonesian Football, why national team clubs all preforming below their potential

Maldivian club VB Sports is very good both financially and technically,it has 9 national team players and some good Turkish foreigners

    SHORT SCRIBE
To be honest, it was a poor first half for me as there were barely any worthy shot that deemed "photogenic"

Time to time, I could only recall myself deleted those "unworthy" shots - in short, it was a frustration first 45minutes.
