Clanblue, Thanks, that is good to know. My question, and I'm not trying to be smart, is why did it take my response to remove both posts? In my opinion, the first post warranted immediate removal as its content had crossed the line. Thanks in advance.
Depends on how you look at it i suppose. You thought it did, thats fair enough. By itself i thought it didn't....fair enough? There are so many sites on here that can get a little out of hand,but at the same time an iron hand in moderating is not the answer.One post by itself is not offensive.It becomes offensive and a problem when somebody objects to it. You objected to it and i moved it because of that.
Clanblue, That's fine. You're the moderator and you have the authority to manage the boards as you see fit. Another question for you: If you personally found a post offensive, would you remove it immediately, or would you wait until someone else took offense and responded to it/reported it?
Good timing, i just loged on here. There are many posts i find offensive...i moderate more than just this board...and i leave them be. I would however send a PM to the person involved and let them know that any more of the same and they will be bined. There is no exact science to this moderating and i do try not to be heavy handed. Just because i am a moderator and don't like something is by no means authority to move, delete or even edit somebody elses post.
