ADU-ISM!!! Every kid that's touched a ball on the practice field has tried it, but it rarely works. Adu with his back towards COL's goal and a COL player hanging on his back, looks to for the pass at midfield. As the ball skitters to his feet he flicks it up and over himself and the defender, then spins around the defender (actually, under his arm), and the ball lands at his feet and he races away from the COL player. The small knowledgeable crowd collectively murmurs appreciatively at what they've just seen. The flick is easy to do, you just have to make sure that the ball is coming at the right speed. The difficult thing about it is to get away from the defender, because they'll grab the s..t out of you.
