Interesting read. Sometimes I wonder about the English interpatation of Adu. We say "Adu is the one to lead us! Not mortal!", in a sarcastic manner, but outsiders looking in may not pick that up.
And the myth grows. No doubt the coaching and opportunities he's gotten here will help him reach far more of his potential then remaining in Ghana would have... still, unlike the article implies, Adu was kicking a soccer ball around long before he arrived in the US...
And the myth grows. Buffalo Soldier, trodding through the land Said he wanna ran, then you wanna hand Trodding through the land, yea, yea Said he was a Buffalo Soldier Win the war for America
Re: And the myth grows. LOL.....That's funny VS. The difference is however the Adu's came here voluntarily while those Buffalo Soldiers didn't. Here's hoping Adu does win the war for America "Singing woy yoh yoh , woy yoh yoh yoh, woy yoh yoh yoh yoh yoh yoh yoh!"
Re: Re: And the myth grows. True that. That is why i didnt add that part. Yah still want him to win the war for America. I saw him on ESPN.. Damn the kid has mad skills !!!
What the hell is 19 stone anyway? When do we start Redemption song? Old pirates yes they rob I sold I to the merchant ship... Minutes after they took I, from the bottomless pit....
A good article, but I can't help feeling the Euro-snob attitude about US Soccer..."a game that few in his country really care about..." This may be true, but we're a dedicated group.
Just want to take a little exception to the Ty Tryon bashing. He is still a monster talent and will do fine. The writer should look at Justin Rose and see how it may take some time for a young golfer to progress. Sorry for the non-soccer opinion. That being said, the article was excellent.
