Benfica will be hosting Ferriera in a Portuguese Cup match. It seems like lots of starters are returning from International duties so many will be rested. Additionally, key players will also be rested for Thursday EUFA Cup match.

All point to a very likely start for Mr. Adu.

    Anyone with time, please post.

He always seems like he's gonna get a start, and then Camacho benches him until the 80th after another scoreless or q goal performance.

It's hard to say if he'll start. It looks that way with injuries and the UEFA Cup game looming, but I'm sure the new guy will play some and they don't want to rest everyone and get knocked out early. I predict he will come on in the 67th minute. :)

Alas, the international break can't help his starting prospects-- did anyone else from his club miss as much time or travel as far? (How pointless is that round of international friendlies anyway? a: totally pointless.)

I would think playing midweek would help his chances to start as he hasn't otherwise had enough minutes under his belt to claim 90-minute fitness.

So in the eyes of Benfica, flying back and forth between Portugal and the U.S. for a midweek match in which he played 30 minutes will help his game fitness?

    The game WILL be televised.
It's on Sic channel, which is free (nation wide).

    Probable line up:

    -------------Butt-------------
    Nélson--Luisão--D. Luiz--Léo
    ---------Maxi--Katso---------
    Assis----Rui Costa----Rodriguez
    ----------Makukula----------

as far as I know the Sporting game was also on Sic but when it came time for the game the international feed was cut.

When's kickoff? It's like 9 o'clock there now. Rep for those providing play-by-play from across the pond.

It's only 8:15 there. Portugal isn't on Central European Time, they're an hour back, so 5 hours ahead of EST.

    close, here is the lineup

    -------------Butt-------------
    Nélson--Luisão--Edcarlos--Léo
    ---------Maxi--Katso---------

I guess Di Maria will be the first sub, hopefully Freddy 2nd. Actually hopefully it's 3-0 by halftime and Freddy can come in sooner!
