Ronaldo. Proven track record. I don't think his game has fallen off as much as people think. He needs to get his love-life straigtened out though.

Ronaldo of course, no need to explain watch the confederation cup and you'll see what im talking about. Adriano is still learning tho to become Adriano, cuz he'll never be as good as Ronaldo.

list of my fav forwards are:
    1)Ronaldo
    2)Robinho
    3)Adriano

Adriano is mad good but I feel that he does not dribble so much, in the Mex game all he did was get the ball and shoot no matter where he was. He truly is a mad good forward.

I think Adriano should practice his right foot shots/ball control/crossing. Only then will he stand a chance when compared to Ronaldo.

Adriano still has to learn to move the ball around more, in addition to the incredibile individual skills. Lots of moves through Ronaldinho, Kaka, and Robinho fall apart when he gets the ball.

Unfortunately to those of us who lost a tad of respect for Ronaldo for missing this tournament, our performances have made me realise more than ever that we need that Son of Bento Ribeiro. Adriano is not even close I am afraid.

Ronaldo is definitely the better player and Adriano is still his apprentice. Adriano may be a better buy for a club however, given his age.

Ronaldo. But after Adriano's brilliant perfomance in Confed. Cup final it doesn't seem so obvious to me

Adriano needs to develop his right foot, although his left foot is unstoppable. He is still one hellavu forward.
Ronaldo still is a better goal scorer in my opinion. I wish Ronaldo could score form long range though.

Adriano without a doubt. He showed how good he is vs. Argentina in the Copa America 2004. He also showed great games in this Confederations Cup not only vs. Germany, but also today vs. Argentina. In my opinion, Adriano is the best player in the Brazilian National Team.

Ronaldo, but chances are Brazil will have both of them on the field for the world cup

Both players are very talented, but Adriano is not as refined as Ronaldo. Ronaldo can score, pass and kick very well with both legs. I find Adriano to be type of a dull player. As we can see in the Conf Cup, he has a wicked left kick that can give any goalie problems, however, on 1 on 1 situations where he has to beat a player, or dribble off a defender, he suffers. Also, on counter attacks, I believe Ronaldo to be more effective and make better decisions with the ball than Adriano.
Although Ronaldo is not the same anymore, Adriano is not quite there yet.

All I could say was DAMN! just like the goal against Greece, his left foot is like a sledge hammer on steroids...

Ronaldo is still to me the greatest striker of his generation, the only thing Adriano is better is in the air...CAP will inevitably field Ronaldo/Adriano together, most likely after qualifying for the WC,though it looks more certain to field Ronaldo in Adrianos place with the current formation being succesful in the CC.

Either way Brazil is set for the WC...talk about pressure if they win it it will be like "what did you expect" if they don't lets just say...

    ADRIANO FO SHO!!!!!!!!!!

This guy is amazing its crazy to say that ronaldo is a better choice than him at the time. 1. Adriano stronger than ronaldo
    2. Adriano is quiker and more fit than ronaldo
    3. Adriano is much more consistent than ronaldo
    4. Adriano is a better finisher

THIS GUY IS THE BEST STRIKER IN THE WORLD RIGHT NOW

    HE BEATS RONALDO...LIGHTS OUT!

Ronaldo because he has more chemistri with ronaldinho and Kaka, and with them as their attackers (Ronaldo=CF Ronaldinho=CF Kaka=OMF)their amazing and there's proof of it in the '02 World Cup win over Germany.....But no dout if you put Ardiano and ronaldo together up front with Ronaldinho playing offencive Mid then of course they'll be unstoppable but the ball movement between Ronaldo and Ardiano wouldn't be as accurate as the movement between Ronaldo and Ronaldinho. ( and where would Kaka play?)

What a funny forum this was last month. :) From being villified in the loss to Mexico to back to being the heir apparent.

IMO if anything was proven, it's that the Selecao is bigger than any one of those two players. In that way, it doesn't matter if it is Ronaldo or Adriano that is on the field because they may not be as effective if the midfield and Ronaldinho are also not playing well or serving the ball well. When the other nine players are doing well (the missing one is Roque Junior), they play well.
