What the Heck why not a pair of Argies from Colorado? Facu was released by the vapids, he's very exciting in a Clamity James kind of way, and right or wrong plays his heart out. Plus with him in the back the attackers know a 2 goal lead is shaky with less than a minute on the clock. We need more goals!!!
No. Because I wasn't wrong and I have a heart condition. Every bicycle kick took three months off my life.
Wouldn't that be something! I always liked him because I am partial to those that play their hearts out, for better or worse. Watching someone that doesn't care kills my life span even more than the bicycle kicks. Remember that side volley he scored in Dallas off the Gomez corner shortly after he arrived?
Actually my 16 year old daughter said that to me when I told her DCU probably would reacquire Gomez. Erpen was one of her favorites -- along with Dyachenko To this day, she still bitches about the Vanney deal.
From the marketing dept: It's going to be "2007 team celebration day" every weekend in 2009. Also, the first 5,000 fans to the stadium get approved for no-doc $500k mortgages at 5.5%! Sponsorerd by United Bank.
If we brought Facundo back as a central defender and played him in front of Clayton, DCU would do well to place defillibrators in every section of the stadium. It might also be a good idea to require a medical exam before allowing you to buy season tickets. Some of us geezers might not survive otherwise.
Because it's always fun to watch... [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gw_1EA7Tac0"]YouTube - Facundo Erpen Nice Shot DC United vs NY Red Bull[/ame]
I would love to try him out in the center, IMO he was a tad' bit better than Mctavish. His crazy antics is something not that uncommon in latin american defenders, but it causes you guys to shit bricks lol.
I don't think they played together, but as long as they are bringing the band back, lets bring the arm waving guy back!
That kick reminds me of one other reason he drove me nuts - and currently Clyde Simms does - that was a great shot, but it inspired him to try it like 9 more times in the next 4 games when he should have passed the ball and instead gave away possession and kicked the ball into the 500 Sections
Clyde actually keeps his shots low and toward the corner though. He's probably one of the better long-range shooters on the team.
Every fourth or fifth one he takes, yes, absolutely It's the other 3 or 4 that hurt me. It's not a huge problem, I like guys who aren't afraid to shoot from the outside, it does a ton of good - assuming the shots are somewhere near the goal yep - along with a few other ex-DCU peeps I thought of him (and Charleston) when you mentioned Watson - Alavanja and Wilson are there too
This is either the funniest or most depressing thread around here. The fact that Hate correctly points out that he would be an upgrade for United probably makes it the latter.
