    blah. Never liked those things.

Besides, we already have something to pull up when we score.... a few of them actually.

I already feel like a corporate whore working for AT&T... I don't want to be a whore for adidas at Wizards matches when I'm on my time... :(

Yeah.....hate it when people sell out to corporations....like, it would really suck to sell out by having someone like Boulevard sponsor our tailgates and provide us we free beer....that would be such a sell out. Based on the responses here, I would certainly tell them to shove their corporate-shill free beer. Your message has been received loud and clear!!

Difference is Robert is that Boulevard would be supplying the section with something it does not already have. Which is a supply of beer for each game. True we could go out and buy beer before each game, but that'd be spending money that we currently have. With the Adidas jersey, we already have the Big Ass Flags paid for, which serve the same purpose as the Adidas jersey.

But whatever. I just think it's stupid that we're getting this when we already have the big ass flags.

Sounds good, that's what I bring my flag for anyways.

Besides, I don't think that thing will fit in our section anyways. I think it will be too big.

Which is not such a bad thing either. It tends to get some of the fence-setters into the experience as well.

    1) They better make sure they know how big the section the Cauldron will be is. Most of the stadium jerseys I've seen are much larger than the Cauldron's section.

    2) The Wizards had a massive version of the 1999 white jersey. They used to put it over the seats in the closed end of Arrowhead. It got ripped apart by the wind if my memory serves.

24x22 is not very big. It will fit in the section. It is only 4 feet taller than the current BAF is now wide.

The Cauldron at CAB will be approximately 60' deep....so no problems there.

I don't know, I like it better having our own flags. These were made by the cauldron for the cauldron, and adidas is sending us something that numerous other MLS teams have.

It's not the selling out that bugs me, It's just that why have something that houston toronto colorado and probably more have when we've got our own stuff.

I don't know. It's free, i guess we should use it.

I honestly don't know how you could possibly find a gripe about this. This is positive and it's free. I guess the Wizards shouldn't "sell out" and get a jersey sponsor either.

It's just something for atmosphere. Alternate between that and the BAF or something. Or maybe use it over the "Cauldron White/Light" section (as opposed to Cauldron Blue being the primary) over on the grassy knoll where I know at least Spoon and I will be this season. I'm sure we could rally people into throwing it over their head for about a minute or so after a goal. Having both would be a good thing.

There's really no reason we can't have both. there will be plenty of room and should be plenty of Cauldronites to support using the big Jersey and the "big ass flag". Plus, as was mentioned by Andy, this could be seen as a replacement for the big jersey we had years ago...back before Colorado had one and before Houston & Toronto even had a team....

I don't know where the idea got started that having Adidias donate this to the Cauldron meant that we could not longer use the flags/banners we alread have or are currently making...but that is most definitely not the case.

Not necessarily directed at you Kuhnscoot:

If they chipped in a giant blue Adidas/Wizards logo'd RV for tailgaiting and road trips or would you turn it down because you already have one and they may have also given one to Houston, Toronto, & Colorado?

Yes you have your own personal touch, why for the life would you not appreciate someone trying to help that cause while offsetting some of your own costs? Recognize a bird in the hand.

Will we be allowed to stand on the berm? because I thought I read somewhere that you're supposed to sit on it...maybe I'm way off.

Nope, you're correct. It will be a sitting-only section, accoring to the front office.
