Adidas WCs? - Amazing boot, wore mine to death, they hardly had any studs on them, the tongues were hanging off and the front had a massive hole in them. I did however get the worst blister ever from them on the ball of my foot a massive piece of skin about the size of an Oreo came off - i'm just putting that down to it being hot and playing on hard grass. You will love them.

Just make sure you clean the leather well after use, use warm water and a cloth or soft brush like a toothbrush. lET Them dry at room temperature, never put them in front of a fire/heater because this will cause the leather to dry out and crack - once they are dry, get yourself some leather cream or dubbing an gently rub it into the leather. Don't put too much on because it will turn your boots white! if you do all that you should have your boots for a very long time!

It's the same stuff as Dubbing you can buy it from most supermarkets or cobblers, possibly sports stores too.

Yeah you can get it most places here - I never used it on my leather boots I always used 'dubbing' which was designed for football boots that you could only get from sports stores. But Chelsea leather food is just usually with the rest of the shoe polish.

I think it might have been part of the kit deal with Schalke - adidas, I believe, contractually oblige un-contracted/academy athletes at clubs they are technical suppliers to, to wear their boots in the Bundesliga.

I seem to remember someone mentioning it when Oliver Kahn was speaking out against adidas having too much say in what boots National team players wore.

Also, I think this is adidas capitalising on all the furore that has preceded Ozil's signing - making it clear to the football world he's one of theirs now, he's got his own sub-brand/clothing logo and maybe rubbing Nike's nose in it a little.

I just bought a pair of Predator LZ from eBay.
I'm worried they are fake. They look really good and are boxed, but when I looked at the photo in prodirectsoccer.com here http://www.prodirectsoccer.com/prod...occer-cleats-bright-goldwhiteblack-46523.aspx

They are slightly different to mine.
Mine have a white Adidas logo underneath like these http://www.atengstyle.com/wp-conten...das-PREDATOR-LZ-TRX-FG-CLEATS-bright-gold.jpg

Did they make them in 2 types?
How can I tell if they are definitely real?

PDS sometimes has pictures from "sample" products that can be slight different from the final retail version. try to upload a picture of your boots so we can see them. i saw that colour about a year ago in a store but do not remember the colour of the adidas logo.

Actually, the more I'm looking at them, the more I think they are real. The prodirect photo gave me a scare that's all.

They a re really well made.
The laces are branded with "taperlace". (what does that mean anyway).
They have cardboard inserts which are branded and sized.

Counterfeiters don't go to these lengths surely?

Here's the link to my photos of them http://www.flickr.com/photos/101018123@N07/

Lace taper is meant to stop the laces from coming undone - it does work as the bits that you tie are made from a different material than the lace thats threaded through the boots.

as for your LZs - they are legit, just been and checked my boots in that colourway and they have a white adidas logo on the bottom, you sent us a stock picture so we can't be 100%. If you are still concerned take some pictures of the boots for us and then we can judge better. But as for the logo, its white.
