    Well, I don't know if you remember this or not, but around this time last year, some people were saying that the team was going to be bought and moved to... wait, where was it... oh yeah... Texas. But then this awesome group of people got together and said "Hey, you're not taking our team!" I have to admit, it took me until about July to believe them but now I have no doubt that my children will be going to see Quakes games. In Earthquake Stadium, of course.

    Vive le SSV! :D

    NO. No white patches under the arms. Not sure I know how to post a picture.

    Like this.

    Sorry. There's got to be a better way to show that.

    GO QUAKES!!

    Personally, I'm with you on this. I'd love to see a buzz created. I'd think that showing the new jerseys shortly before being able to buy them would be a nice ploy. Kinda like a teaser ad. I'm not sure of what the specific need to hide at this point might be. However, I'll keep my promise to not reveal it.

    Here you go:

    If we're just getting a standard jersey, this is probably it. In blue and black hopefully.

    It's the adidas Premio Jersey

    * Model Year: 2004
    * Technology: ClimaCool®
    * Made In: Imported. Imported.
    * Material: 100% polyester.

    I don't know who wears them, I found it on the adidas site, as one of their stock kits.

    Hopefully it'll be as close to this as possible (though there's no getting around the fact that there'll be the trademark Adidas stripes along the top of the sleeves):

    But with the championship stars, of course, and likely without the mesh. ;)

    GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! :cool:

    Various youth and adult teams. It's adidas' "Premio" model. The back page of the current Eurosport catalog has the four most recent adidas models. I like the Premio, the Cosmos or the San Siro (total classic look), but do not like the Avantis, which looks more like Nike than adidas.

    Now, that, I can totally support! I hope they wear something a bit more interesting than just the plain model of jersey like the Bayern Munich sample shown. At the same time, I hope we aren't just a "rearranged copy" of KC's kits, though they do look good.

    I would expect that tedwar is right...we should see new practice gear next week at training camp. Maybe we should be like that guy in the NFL gear commercials and hide out in the hampers in the locker room?! That's one way to score some new, authentic Quakes' strips before they hit the market!! :D

    As I look at the sample kit Lee S. posted again, I found something else I like about it. The white stripe down the side, while not exactly the same, reminds me of the 2001 kits (in a subtle way.)

    Here is a mockup made by OldQuakesFan of a possible look for the 2005 San Jose Earthquakes home uniform:

    I don't think that the jersey necessarily has to have the three stripes on it so boldly, does it?

    It could just have the three stripes in the little triangular shape with adidas written under it in the upper right chest area, couldn't it?

    Maybe just the shorts will have the stripes down the sides and not the jerseys?

    I know NCAA teams wear adidas jerseys without the prominent stripes, but that maybe some kind of thing that the NCAA controls in trying to cut down on the commercial side of the game (that's just a guess, I have no clue).
    As for professional teams, I've only ever seen A-league teams (puerto rico) wearing adidas unis without the prominent stripes.
    Anybody know of any adidas teams that don't have the three stripes?

    Nice renderings, Conrad!!! I, personally, perfer the second w/ the black stripes instead of the white but both look terrific to my eye.

    I suspect they will also retain the "Earthquakes" wordmark across the chest. Either way, I would happily plunk down cash for those. :D

    Black down the sides, and I think we would have a winner. Really like how everything works on that one. Although, Id be curious to see what it would look like with a silver/grey instead of white.

    By the way, am I the only one who hopes more grey/silver is used in our uniforms, to help differentiate us from any other blue/white wearing teams in the league?

    I prefer the black sides as well, as for the earthquakes logo. I didn't put it in due to time constraints. maybe tommorow...

    I'm also hoping that black sides/stripes are used. I think the Wizards already have white sides/stripes with their blue.

    Actually, you did use the Earthquakes logo. What you didn't put in yet is the Earthquakes wordmark (though hopefully you will). ;)

    GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! :cool:

    Yeah, I know. :)

    When are the official uniforms going to be released? :confused: I'd actually like to be wearing an authentic (not a replica) 2005 Quakes home jersey at the home opener.

    GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! :cool:
