Rumours are starting to float around in the pommy press that Rafa Benitez is keen in bringing the fed express to liverpool to be reina's backup..Not sure what to make of it yet.. http://www.readingchronicle.co.uk/s...erpool-link-while-royals-close-in-on-griffin/
It. Will. Not. Happen. Liverpool GK's: Reina Cavalieri Gulacsi Bouzanis Mihaylov Hansen Bouzanis and Gulacsi both have the potential to be better than Federici, while Mihaylov is fairly experienced for a young player and Hansen isnt too bad either. On top of that, Cavalieri is a very good back-up GK.
Would be a crazy move for him. He's the starting keeper for Reading now, it would be terrible for his career to go back to bench warming again.
no doubt about it, Liverpool is a wrong move but a move should be inevitable for Federici if the Reading situation isn't flourishing.
Federici's Shock Italian Call-Up AUSTRALIAN goalkeeper Adam Federici claims he has received a surprise approach from the Italian Football Federation to defect to play with the World Cup holders. http://au.fourfourtwo.com/news/126312,federicis-shock-italian-callup.aspx
I find that hard to believe. I guess it may be true, but it just doesn't make sense to me. Italy have got plenty of top class keepers to choose from.
He'd be my pick for no.2. Pim has favoured Petkovic though, and Galekovic is probably still challenging. Can't see many other contenders.
Brad Jones could be an outside contender as he has found his way back into the #1 spot at Boro again.
Fed Has Focus Only On Australia READING shot-stopper Adam Federici has re-affirmed his commitment to Australia admitting he's desperate to be part of the Socceroos squad which goes to the 2010 World Cup. http://au.fourfourtwo.com/news/127335,fed-has-focus-only-on-australia.aspx
He's looking to be the best option to replace Schwarzer...and hopefully he helps Reading get promoted.
In a recent article in ITYS Magazine, he spoke about how he is willing to sit around and wait and work hard until he is noticed as the potential number 1 for the Socceroos. It would have been great for Federici if Reading went up to the premiership because he could have then really competed with Schwarzer for that number 1 spot.
Well he's back in the EPL next year. http://au.sports.yahoo.com/football/news/article/-/13456023/federici-set-for-epl-with-reading/
