Sorloth was very wasteful with Real Sociedad. That's why they sold him despite having CL football this season. Villarreal is the kind of club strikers usually flourish though as they traditionally play expansive football and create several chances. I guess Sorloth might be a late bloomer like Joselu. Dovbyk also plays for a team that creates a lot. I think this is their best level. Don't see them doing well at Atlético for example where only Costa/Suarez/Griezmann have got these kind of numbers.
Atletico wants to sign either Sorloth or Dovbyk this summer. They wanna sell Depay though Morata isn't clear about his continuity either. https://www.marca.com/futbol/atletico/2024/05/20/664b0eba22601d43168b4574.html
I literally explained he was rebuilding a squad for the first 3-4 years. Or you actually believe Rickie Lambert can beat the likes of Aguero to silverware lol. Also Pep is crazy in league competitions. Madrid have his number but that is tournament football. He's one of the if not the most consistent and dominating managers in league football.
Pep had his greatest team led by Messi in La Liga and even then RM didn't let him 4 in a row. We won the league with 100 points in Pep's final season. Why can't RM beat City in a league race? We are better than Arsenal who were pretty close to City last two years.
It's tough because I don't even think Klopp's biggest defeats are the domestic titles. Remember, he built a Dortmund side which truly stands as one of the best German football teams to this day, and the stumbled at the final step. The final against Bayern. The he joins Liverpool, and loses to Sevilla in the final. I think you have to be very satisfied with what he did at Liverpool from the perspective of a Liverpool fan, he took them from a "it's our year, next year" and installed accountability and the idea that it's all in the moment. Win or lose, it has no meaning on next year. He changed the perception of the club. You can sit down and count titles and wins and losses, but he built Liverpool into a competitor. Others got the chance elsewhere and failed. Yes, he said and did a lot of absolute dumb things, but everybody does. We can sit down and overthing us getting blown out by City in the past, or we can look at when we beat them. If you look at the Klopp era in the sense of fan satisfaction he gets an A+
There's a version of events where Guardiola doesn't take on one of the best Barca squad's in history, and is the prototype Xavi, gets burned by a disfunctional club and never gets the opportunities after that. Luck and the right situation matters so much.
I really don't make excuses for coaches. Infact I'm harsh at times. But I felt his final vs BvB was tricky with Gotze announcing he is joining them before the final and also getting mysteriously injured. At Liverpool I think the first cup was lost on penalties and the Europa League vs Sevilla, as much as I don't like blaming one player for a loss, Moreno was really accountable for 3 goals conceded. And lastly, though Madrid were worthy winners, his Liverpool side then was not strong outside their first XI and they lost Salah early on and had Karius pull
We're from a farmers league. RM will struggle in the EPL and those nights at Bournemouth will be a tough ask
🚨🇧🇪 Vincent Kompany has been considered as an option at several clubs in the recent days despite relegation with Burnley.Understand FC Bayern have discussed Kompany internally among possible candidates for the job. 🔴🇩🇪Brighton, still waiting to make a decision on new coach. pic.twitter.com/UzQV3887ag— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) May 20, 2024 Bayern considering Vincent Kompany ffs. Hard to fathom how low they’re going
They will just come up with a new reason why the EPL is the best, every talking point that gets dismantled is just an opportunity to introduce a new narrative
Watch the analysis of Kompany come out saying he’s actually a great coach and Burnley being utter shit is not down to him
Parody account. But suits current Bayern situation. Uli Hoeneß: "Vincent Kompany? You journalists pull a new name out of your nose every other day. Sevilla have begun contacts with Las Palmas’s manager Garcia Pimienta to become the clubs new head coach.📞🇪🇸Pimienta likes the project that the board of Sevilla have offered him. Sevilla will try and close a deal for him by this week or next week. ✍️💰[@ramirezmaximodc] pic.twitter.com/HJ91pwvTem— LaLigaExtra (@LaLigaExtra) May 20, 2024 Valencia fans have been doing it for last several years. So City will get away with it. Peter Lim’s daughter: ‘The club is ours and we can do anything we want with it and no one can say anything’. Always found this quote pretty funny. I had also thought she said something about being able to turn the men’s side into a volleyball team if they wanted but turns out that was fake, sadly.
Bologna leading 2-0 vs Juventus. Looks like they will finish 3rd in Serie A. Saw this video about Motta's unique tactics yesterday.
We need to see what Mbappé saw cause he was too stunned to speak😭😭😭Must’ve been a worldie https://t.co/RxHyLTTN7H— 💎 (@TJayyyy_1) May 19, 2024 i cant blame him https://t.co/UIuogFVi6F pic.twitter.com/EawQYbOCRa— 🥷🏼 (@killeures) May 19, 2024 Una simple mirada de Mbappé, el futbolista mas mediático del mundo. pic.twitter.com/sB7AomtbA9— Trunks (@trunksRM) May 20, 2024
Alexander Sorloth wants to continue at Villarreal and is not interested in leaving the club despite no European football. 💛🇳🇴He has just become a dad and has played in 7 different countries in 10 years and wants to get settled at one club. He and his family are enjoying life… pic.twitter.com/dYo0ndvDDr— LaLigaExtra (@LaLigaExtra) May 20, 2024 Any club that wants him will have to pay his €40 million release clause and would then have to convince him to leave which won’t be easy as he’s determined to stay.💰[@relevo] pic.twitter.com/KmRCtHbO3J— LaLigaExtra (@LaLigaExtra) May 20, 2024 Mallorca will play better football next season. Getting rid of Aguirre for Arrasate is pretty impressive. Mallorca are closing in on the signing of 46 year old Jagoba Arrasate to become the club’s new head coach. ✍️🇪🇸He’s given the ok to Mallorca as they’ve now secured their safety in La Liga for next season.
