Haha, sure. I can respond in a similarly childish manner, but I'm okay. Keep moving those goalposts though!
Disagree, rigged implies the refs are consciously going to do things to advantage a side. But outcomes can be tampered with by assigning officials who tend to view things a specific way. For example, here in the States, conservatives tend to file cases in certain courts where judges are more sympathetic to their POV. Similarly liberals do better with other justices. That doesn't mean our judicial system is rigged. However if we had cases assigned to judges from a supposedly nonpartisan judicial body in a way create these outcomes that would be problematic. This is what Barca did, I doubt they get penalized but the ridiculous arguments their club is making is bad faith. They are cheating.
Not to mention that even if no payment was made to the ref, you could exercise pressure on the officials that will result in unconscious bias. And you had his son following these refs from hotel to the stadium…
FC Köln gets a transfer ban. Players are still allowed to transfer away from the club though. Financial Fairplay.
‼️Spain is at a disadvantage compared to other major leagues. Other countries adopted tax advantages so that players & investors find their competitions more attractive:• A player with €1m salary earns €710k in Serie A but only €530k in La Liga after tax. @diarioas 🇪🇸💰 pic.twitter.com/U1dIgKRKpl— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) March 31, 2023
Not sure if true but this is mind blowing : De Bruyne has apparently never won PL player of the month.
Bayer Leverkusen are now set to sign Brazilian talented fullback Arthur from America MG, here we go! 🚨🔴🇧🇷Medical scheduled in the next days, full agreement between clubs on €7m fee — contract until 2028.Born in 2003, Arthur was called up with Seleçao and will join Bayer. pic.twitter.com/0xYWfPfaRO— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) March 31, 2023 Ok this can potentially be pretty big. Arthur is a right back. I think this suggests Jeremie Frimpong is on the move this summer. Get it done Florentino.
I suggested Frimpong in the summer. Nothing materialized. Not even a sniff. Madrid aren't replacing until Dani Carvajal is retired.
It's not like we didn't put the budget of an entire small nation on the table for one of the best players in the sport and he swerved us at the last minute.
Barcelona are being investigated over allegations of corruption relating to payments made to the former vice-president of Spanish football's refereeing committee. The Athletic has seen hundreds of pages of leaked documents related to the case. Here's what we've learned.— The Athletic | Football (@TheAthleticFC) March 31, 2023
I'm assuming you didn't click on the link and just got emotional: What i'm saying is you have to pay/subscribe to the athletic to read the article. I've considered it for a while now, but on the other hand, they often bait big headlines and the content isn't all that great.
Nothing new in the article TBH. If anything mimics what you've been saying, lots of smoke but no fire. Investigation on going - more unethical than corruption. They avoided mentioning any of the circumstantial evidence - given that it's written by their Barca correspondant, I can see many claiming it's a pro barca article. I'd say we've discussed it in more detail on this forum despite their hundreds of leaked documents claim.
I've considered it for a while, but with the way news coverage works now, it's hard to justify up to 20 Euro to read their work.
They posted a Ronaldo article recently where they headlined it with stuff like that Ronaldo "...was laughed off by Real Madrid after mentioning his intention to return to the club" and i figured they were being kind of economic with the facts.
