Tbh, Ødegaard needed a coach like Arteta and a team like Arsenal to showcase his talent and skills. He asked to leave because imo he couldn't handle the pressure cooker that is RM; he barely got minutes even though Zidane really liked him because he wasn't in optimum shape after his injury at La Real + Covid-19. Zidane couldn't afford to give him minutes ahead of the more experienced midfielders. I'm happy for Ødegaard and I don't think he would have succeeded at RM immediately. My only gripe is that Flo should have put a buy-back option from Arsenal after ~2 years.
He was supposed to be a superkid, mind you. If we'd judge him by the standards Vinicius is being judged, we'd have reasons to call him a bum. He's done well for himself, but he was touted to be the next freaking Laudrup.
🚨 The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani wants to own Manchester United while also owning Paris Saint-Germain. 🇶🇦He plans to demonstrate to UEFA that each club will be controlled by a separate entity. ♟️(Source: @RMCSport) pic.twitter.com/rvmusYuvSl— Transfer News Live (@DeadlineDayLive) February 11, 2023
Emir of Qatar interested in buying Manchester United for £4.5bn The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, is interested in buying Manchester United. He values the club below the Glazer family’s £6bn price and there is recognition Uefa may have to agree to a regulation change as the country’s ruler already owns Paris Saint-Germain. The emir purchased PSG in 2011 through Qatar Sports Investment. Current Uefa rules do not allow clubs with the same owners to face each other in one of its competitions, so a Qatar-owned United and Qatar-owned PSG would not be allowed to compete in a Champions League tie should such a fixture arise. While the purchase of United is being explored, it is understood those driving the Qatar interest are conscious of the Uefa rules and a solution is being sought. This could include trying to persuade Uefa to consider the possibility of adjusting or changing its regulations. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...terested-in-buying-manchester-united-for-45bn https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...as-plan-to-own-manchester-united-and-paris-sg
Imagine the Herculean task of trying to persuade yourself to skew the rules in your favour? Or is anyone supposed to be dumb enough to think this man and his cronies don't already run/own UEFA? Who knew corruption would be so rampant yet transparently obvious in 2023. If only European clubs could pull their heads out of their asses and sit down to generate a plan. Football needs thorough changes, Superleague has been dragged through the mud - no matter what kind of format change it goes through people are not going to give it a chance. I don't know what the solution is, but every big club getting acquired by this one weirdo with a bunch of oil money sure does sound dystopian and messed up.
If we won’t sign Bellingham it would be shame we won’t sign Enzo instead. Remind me a little of Casemiro
I know it’s a sun around here but we need some Argentinians here. I’d love to have Enzo and Alvarez. We are missing that grit
Well the proposal for our club from some of our fans is to do the same, most people here are up in arms that we haven't just gone out and bought players we "need" whether superstars or "good" players, Chelsea just did what most here are advocating we do, so far it has not helped them look any better yet
Benz has been playing well and his G+A has been great in spite of a misfiring team. Injuries / overload is another story.
I don’t know what games you have been watching, but I could not disagree more with that sentiment. Benz has been very poor all season.
I've watched all our games. His passing game has been less clean / sharp, but the return is excellent especially within the context of how the team is performing. If he can overcome the bout of injuries, he'll be fully operational for the CL.
