Ok. I admit I dropped the ball. My wife and I intended to pick up two tickets for Wednesday's game and I found out a few days ago that it is sold out. To make matters worse, dinner and the game were our anniversary plans. Needless to say, I would really like to get tickets. Do any of you have experience with "trustworthy" re-sellers (stub hub, guys in front of the stadium on game day, etc.)? Are there certain avenues that are legal/illegal? I have never tried to get tickets outside of just buying them at the stadium before.
IIRC, they don't sell the upper deck until gameday or shortly before. Not sure when they actually sell off those tickets though so I could be wrong. It might be worth inquiring about at least.
for this game, they opened up the upper deck early. it sold really really quick. I have 1 extra ticket... sorry I don't have 2 did you just check the website or give the ticket office a call/visit, taragui? I think you can get south end tickets only if you call or visit them. They likely still have some there as they are advertising on the Chivas broadcast that there are still a few tickets left
Hope you're right about the upper deck. Crap. I too dropped the ball this time. At least it won't be as hard to get tickets for the "other" team from California.
Have you called the office about getting seats in the south end? Or do you have an issue sitting by all that... "noise"?
I don't mind it, I love sitting with the supporters. It's my Dad who wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole. So it looks like we'll be dealing with the scalpers.
Thank you for the idea. I will check into that. I wouldn't look good in the lycra body-suit. As long as that's not a requirement, we might just fit in...
I'd love to go to this match, too. I need to scrounge for a ticket myself. Time to call my friends who have season tickets and hope somebody got sick.
KSL classifieds is always a good source. And as an fyi, they no longer hold back upper deck tickets to game day - they're priced higher than many of the lower bowl at $30 day of game. I know people are excited for the LA game - but the real big game of the week is on Saturday vs. San Jose - that will be the 6-point swinger worth watching.
true but to the casual fan, LA has players. SJ has nothing I'm hopeful we can sweep the California teams, but it is going to take 2 very good matches at home for it to happen.
After what happened at that LA game, I hope you didn't get tickets and found something else to do to celebrate your anniversary. I'm still sick from that game!
We found tickets through KSL. The game itself I will soon forget, I think. However, I will have one good memory. When we were looking for tickets, there was one posting that listed 2 tickets in section 7. My wife called the number and this is the conversation I heard: "Hi, do you still have the two tickets for the RSL game?...Great, how much are you asking?...Are you kidding me, $50 a piece. Those are chicken tickets. I know you only paid $15 bucks for the vouchers....Yes, I know it's LA. Last I checked, they are near the bottom of the standings. I won't pay that much to watch a team that's third worst in the entire league....Yes, I know Beckham plays for them. Who cares. If I just wanted to see Beckham, there are plenty of pictures on the internet. I'm a Real fan....Sorry, that's way too much. Goodbye." I was laughing out loud by the end of the call. I should harass scalpers more often. My wife still awesome, even after 21 years!
My wife heard from scalpers on the into the RioT asking $75 bucks a pop for tickets. Imagine how that would have felt coughing up that kind of dough to watch RSL choke up a lung. I'm glad my tickets are a package deal.
I'm upset about the $26 bucks I had to pay for the 2 south end tickets... good lord, I can only imagine
