You’ve also for two days said none of these things happened and that it was speculation and slander. Then when you’ve been shown that they did happen you’ve basically defended these actions. You are clearly associated with that staff. Have a little moral compass. If you found out another program was private messaging one of your athletes you would be pissed. Since this is still supposed to be a hot list discussion I’m sure we will be seeing the ULM position on this list sometime soon based on recent actions.

Howard is a solid hire at Albany. Someone with actual head coaching experience including a recent Coach of the Year season, plus knows the area and recruiting base. And she will have more to work with at Albany than she did at Marist. Plus walking into a far better situation at Albany than she did in the turmoil at Marist. Kind of an unusual move for Bochette to leave for another mid major in Temple but good hire for Albany after that.

Do you know why the coach lost his job before he even coached a game at UNCG? He was hired in a March and fired in July. For sending text messages to players to transfer. Recruiting rules for NCAA-to-NCAA transfers is completely different. Recruiting from NJCAA-to-NCAA is different. Recruiting from NAIA-to-NCAA is different. Recruiting from USCAA-to-NCAA is different. Recruiting from NCCAA-to-NAIA is different. Even within NCAA divisions, recruiting rules vary. Taking a broad generalization on "recruiting" is not the best way to make any point or understand these situations.

I think that one is Division II. I agree the ULM thing has been something. I'm off to message every NAIA player I can find through my Facebook messenger and I have 10 days to notify the institution of that player. Or is that not a rule either because the ULM coach was messaging athletes in January and coaches and their admins were finding out more than 10 days later. But maybe counting in the NAIA is different.
NCAA D1 coaches are not allowed to cold call text email use third party proxy skywrite kids at any other 4 year institution unless they are notified of interest to transfer...notice is only given in the form of transfer portal or from notification from the institution that the player has requested transfer. further this is a level 2 infraction which some institutions may find enough to terminate for cause
Jacksonville is now bringing in two more candidates, and will see how those two go, I am not sure who they are, but did hear today the SWA is now bringing in two more.
JU has been turned down twice now. Offered it to the Elon assistant and he was one that turned it down. Not sure who the other was.
must be something not right with that program if it’s consistently being turned down. Any idea if salary may be the issue? Scholarships? Budget?
will start seeing these small/mid private d1 schools making the switch to d3. They cannot afford to compete at the d1 level. Online schools are hammering enrollment in traditional higher ed schools.
