What happened to the last 20 seconds? Anything could have happened in it. Disgrace.

    Liverpool were better team.

    Milans first goal was fluky.

Liverpool forced the issue and were more creative from start to finish. Milan scored their goals on pure luck and a counter-attack, respectively. The better team lost, plain and simple. But that's what happens when you don't polish off your chances.

But Liverpool could have scored in that 20 seconds. One kick up field. One Mistake. One goal. Only takes a few seconds for a goal.

Rafa was mad at the referee afterwards, and rightly so.

But i give credit to Milan for their second goal. First goal: complete fluke; really was a bad blow for Liverpool.

Liverpool were by far the better side. They deserved to win.

it's too late now to go on about whether milan should have played in the CL or not. they played their games and deservedly reached the final.

a deflected, fortunate goal gave them the lead but remember, kuyt's goal was offside.

inzaghi made a smart run across the flight of the ball. i honestly couldn't say if he intentionally tried to hand ball it but it was a smart move by a savvy striker in the first place.

well as far as i see it, milan were the better team because they WON. it doesn't matter if their first goal was a fluke or if liverpool had more chances. only liverpool can blame themselves for not getting more goals in than milan. football is all about the end result and it ended up 2-1 for milan. and if liverpool fans and the british media are gonna keep complaining, they can kiss my ass.

I don't think it was deliberate handball at all, and was therefore a perfectly legitimate goal.

An unintentional hand ball is still a hand ball.

someone else who doesn't know the laws... ditto Steve Nicholl on ESPN who claimed any goal scored off the hand - deliberate or not - was a foul.

Yes true. Liverpool and Milan both finished one of their chances but Milan also happened to get a complete fluke. And if they hadnt got the fluke then Mascherano would never have been brought off and Milan would never have created the chance that they did put away.

But after the 3-3 match i guess Milan were due luck.

and the complete fluke could have been enough anyway as kuyt's goal was offside.

ok, that was the third such "fluke" this year for Pirlo/Pippo: it's happened already in serie A matches against Empoli and Inter.
Pippo knows how Pirlo's kicking the FK and tries intentionally to deflect it with his body. It takes a little luck, because at that speed and distance Pippo can not really control the ball, or even elect with which part of his body to intercept it, but it's a calculated play.
    Got it?

I agree no matter how much I hate Inzaghi he intentially chested the ball at goal and had a dangerous run that ended the game.

Liverpool should not have started Zenden and should have put in a striker earlier. Gerrard was worked by Nesta while playing CF. Kuyt dint get much chances. But that was the risk with playing a lone striker.
