Where did you hear this? And what does the players in bold mean? The roster is what I expected with the exception of Pirlo still coming to the US. I was under the impression he would join up with the Italian Olympic team by then. But I'm glad I'm wrong.

Thank the heavens! He's the player I was counting on the most! I guess Seedorf is chilling in his hometown for a little while as part of his vacation.

Seedorf is actually recovering from surgery on his thigh.

In 1994, the Italian national team stayed at the Somerset Hills Hotel in Warren, N.J., about a 40-minute car ride from Manhattan, taking Interstate 78...they trained at The Pingry School...

Juve did the same exact thing...I was able to take pix and get autographs of Davids, Trezeguet, Del Piero...etc.

The beauty of it was it wasn't too many people there so we were able to snap more than a few shots with the players...

Roberto Baggio and Co. were seen shopping for hunting gear at the local Effinger's in Bound Brook, N.J.

Here is the final roster of players. Not many changes from the original list. Obviously, no Inzaghi, since he's injured:

PORTIERI: Abbiati, Dida, Fiori. DIFENSORI: Cafu, Costacurta, Kaladze, Maldini, Nesta, Perticone. CENTROCAMPISTI: Abate, Ambrosini, Brocchi, Dhorasoo, Gattuso, Kakà, Pirlo, Serginho. ATTACCANTI: Crespo, Pozzi, Shevchenko.

I'm glad Pozzi was added to the roster. I'm really excited to see him play. It looks like(since he has been given a number for the new season) he is gonna be the replacement for Pippo for the next couple months. This should end the Claudio Lopez rumours.

He scored in the Tim cup didn't he? He's gotta be quality considering Milan sold a solid prospect striker in Kutzov(sp?)

Wimps. ;) It's amazing to me that Traianos Dellas is already playing complete matches with Roma, and he played more in Euro2004 than just about anybody.
