De Jong and De Sciglio were solid and Balo was immense -really reminded me of Ibra in terms of his presence, control, passing and focus.

Abbiati decided the match with that save at the start of the second half.

Beautiful match from Milan. Very proud. PSV had a lot of time on the ball but we were all quality and finished well.

    My thoughts on the match...

Abbiati--brilliant save on Wijnaldum, saved the match for Milan, did all that was asked from him
De Sciglio--AWESOME, rock steady, will be one of the best fullbacks in the world
Mexes--very steady, cleared the ball well and won many headers
Zapata--very shaky first half, settled down a bit in the second but still shaky, need an upgrade here!
Abate--very steady, defended well and aggressive as always
De Jong--the unsung hero, completely settles down the others, never gives away possession, MUST STAY FIT
Monto--battled hard today, not as graceful and creative as usual but a good display from our captain
Muntari--solid but not sensational, Poli will eventually win this job I think
SES--great movement, some clever flicks...will get his goals this season for sure, a future Milan star
Balotelli--incredible...on his way to being one of the worlds best
Boateng--took his goals well and added a dangerous piece on attack

Poli--great cameo, worked very hard and won possession, played a part in the goal
    Robinho--no time to do much

Having qualified, we need to sign a CB immediately. Zapata is depth nothing more. Then add a couple creative pieces and we look good. Makes you wonder how we lost to Verona....

In part it probably had to do with their focus being on this game today.

Great game. Nice to see Boateng score some nice goals. Either he's back to 11/12 Boateng OR did enough to increase bidding price of foreign teams. Loved seeing Balotelli trolling the PSV defenderes in 1v1 at end of the game. SES/Balo partnership gets more fun to watch every game...

this is what's so frustrating with kpb. he spent the entire preseason and first couple games looking like he had never played football before. then yesterday he was a madman. a little consistency please?

That's what urks me the most. He has skill, he has the ability, he just was missing something last year: consistency. Yesterday he played well because Balo played like Ibra: came back, held up ball, and made a great pass which led to the goal. Balo coming up to get the ball forces his defender to follow leaving space open behind, perfect for Boateng to slide into. I genuinely like Boateng, and want him to stay, but he needs a bunch of performances like yesterday before he gets back into my good graces.
    I'd like this lineup:
    ----Montolivo-De Jong----
    Niang------Boateng-------SES
    -----------Balotelli---------
