uefa gave them a spending limit or the penalties would increase. that's why they have to sell before they can buy di maria. that seems like a short sighed way to look at it. overspend this summer, and hope some other club will buy the players we want to sell next summer? that's the problem we have now! no one wants to buy the players we don't want. why would they want to next summer? how long have they been trying to get rid of robinho? seems like 3 summers now.
i thought about it a few weeks ago, but being that i live in louisiana these days it didn't quite make sense. it was the most compelling game of the pre-season for me though. my hate for liverpool lives on. i want them to do well, only so they can crumble again
I had planned to originally as that's only about 4 hours drive for me but other business has me elsewhere this weekend
De Sciglio (AC Milan) Has been taken to a local hospital for evaluation after a nasty clash with the Goalkeeper Gabriel.... Just gets worse and worse...
wow i can not believe balotelli there, think it was zapata who won the ball back and balo just strolled along, didnt make a run to the box (thats not good when yr a striker) zapata even looked to pass to him but saw he wasnt interested at all then ran on his own, my definative opinion on balo now is that he is simply a loser, doesnt have a winners mentality at all, you need to sell him, anyone would be stupid to buy him.
He is probably the laziest player in the whole world. Just look at how he lead the front line for Italy in the WC. His career will be worse than Cassano.
Well me personally not much. Quite a few 1st place division soccer trophies when I played was younger... Oh plus I got a 2rd place award in the science fair in grade school.
I stopped watching after Abbiati's pk save but I guess I didn't miss much. I've never really followed AC Milan during preseason competitions but so far from what I've seen, they look no better than a mid table Serie A club. I'm sure we won't be able to judge a season on these games though and the mercato is still wide open.
@falvo, the only thing you missed was gabriel going bill goldberg on de sciglio with the old school wcw-style spear. any update on his condition?
The first tests on De Sciglio fortunately didn't show any serious damage, but he is still expected to be rested for the match vs. Chivas. Good news.
is the milan-chivas match going to be on tv tonight in the states? can't find anything about it on the usual sites.
