They can't produce money out of a hat. Milan is not a rich club at this point in time. It's different from PSG, Barca, Real, Manchester City, etc, and even Juve. Unfortunately we have live with this reality.
Kessie out of the team would be a disaster. He was our glue last year and was MoM many times over. It's like 1 step forward, two steps back
Barca is broke, they lost Messi for free as we did Donna. Difference is Donna was replaced with someone competent. He has a point, as do you, Milan may not be able to afford not selling Kessie now if they can't afford his wages. If they can, then by all means keep him.
It all depends what they can get for him. No one is going to pay much knowing they can get him for free next summer. You'd have to decide whether the on-field value of keeping him for the season is worth more than the net sale amount (including accounting tricks) you're being offered. At this point in the window, you're not going to get a replacement-level player for anything other than substantially overpaying.
Terrible, we take ten years to return to the CL and when we finally do, we get a difficult group like this one! Darn!
I see it differently if we keep Kessié. Apparently Maldini is focusing on 6 million Euro and Kessié wants more than 7. We got Bakayoko today, two-year loan with option to purchase for 15 million. I find it preposterous that Milan is entertaining this expense for a good, decent player but not really willing to cross the bridge and give Kessié, an outstanding player, what he wants. With Kessié we won't be an automatic six points for Liverpool and Atletico. Without him, we will.
Well if keeping him is worth not finishing last in the CL, then do it. IF not, I guess we have to settle with bacala-yoyo.
Yes it doesn't make any sense. Maldini is wasting what little cash we have. I'd give kessie his new deal then sell him later. Lol can't lose another guy for nothing. I'm still recovering from Donnarumma. Not sure what to do with his jersey now. Lol
Donnarumma was the first Milan player in a few years that I actually liked. Look at him during the euros!!!
Wow, that 4-1 was encouraging (although it was against lowly Calabria, last season's 16th team). Our offense suddenly became prolific. Tonali and Giroud are getting more comfortable which bodes well for our season. Maignan made his first error and conceded his first goal while playing for Milan, one that conceivably taller Donna would have stopped as it seemed to be an issue of reach, so that was a bit of a downer; he did make a couple of saves, later. We are one of five teams with all 6 points after two rounds. Good start. Next, after the international break, Lazio, and they seem to be on fire. So that game will tell us a lot about our possibilities this season. Hopefully Kessié will play. His big smile from the sideline celebrating our first goal bodes well for his intention of staying; his agent, though, may be another story. Fingers crossed.
