Not much has been said here about the relatively mediocre performance of AC Milan's admittedly revolving door defense...AC Milan is (by goals allowed) only the 9th best defense in Serie A, with 36 goals allowed. How good is their city-mate, Inter? The stingiest, only 17 goals allowed all year.

I think that's a pretty good indication of where club leadership needs to invest over the summer. Not in attack or in goal but the back line has been porous. Do Serie A clubs typically spend on center backs and fullbacks?

IDK, might be a slight upgrade from Pioli, but only a little bit.

Pulisic scored two goals today and now has 12 goals on the year!

That is the most a Milan midfielder has had since Kaká scored 14 during the 2005–06 season.

15 goals if you include Europa league, per sempremilan.

Had Leao finished the half-volley instead of hitting the crossbar, it would have been Pulisic's 10th assist of the season.

NB. Pulisic is a forward/winger, not a midfielder.. Still, a great season.

Interested in seeing if they keep Leao and who the new #9 will be next year. Any ideas?

There are rumors that AC Milan might hire Marcelo Gallardo - do Milan fans think this is a good idea?

Obviously I am very biased fellas, but Gallardo is an exceptional young manager that could do great things in the right club, imo.

Mihaljovic in 2015-16 I believe. He was decent to be honest. He wasn’t an elite manager but I did like him. Shame he passed away though.

ehhh, let's be honest about Argentineans, most of us are 100% of Italian descent (both my parents were born in Calabria). I once saw a poster that said "Argentineans: look Italian but play like Brazilians" _ I was offended for several reasons

Regardless, I think Gallardo would do really well for Milan. He won 2 Copa Libertadores for River Plate, that's not by accident and he's only 48 years old.

For comparison, the ageless El Pibe joined MLS at about 35 and played until he was like 41. Donadoni joined Metrostars at 33, and Walter "Pandora Papers" Zenga joined MLS at the ripe old age of 37. David Beckham joined LA at 32.

The broadcast ratings are down by about half from before streaming, Apple doesn't reveal their numbers (like all streamers). I occasionally watch a free game on streaming but I'm not going to pay for it these days. If they get 300k streams in addition to their broadcast numbers, they're doing fine. Not sure MLS cares either way as long as they have the money.

MLS is like wrestling. People watch for the names not because anything actually happens on the field.
