If you listen to these announcers they're making it sound like it's all Celtic, but that's been far from the truth. Honestly, best chance(s) came to us, bit of better finishing needed now!!
Napoli up 1-0 and Red Card to Dorthmund. I knew I should of called out of work today, all my streams suck, btw Milan 1H is not good at all but what can you expect with everyone injured.
Great results considering the circumstances. Of course some luck, but with good efforts from De Jong, Muntari and Balo, I felt we at least deserved a draw.
I like to criticize Allegri when he deserves it, so I have to be fair and give him credit when he deserves it as well. Milan was never really under any real threat from Celtic today, and took the chances, at least 2/3rd's of them, when they showed, with a fairly depleted roster. Well done Gringo!
Very happy with the result. Sometimes you need luck on your side. Allegri put the best possible eleven on the pitch tonight...can't ask for much more. The team is just so lacking in certain areas. Some thoughts... -Mexes was superb -Zaccardo did not cost us, but he is SO uncomfortable in possession -Balo kept his head well in such a frustrating match and as expected, played a role in both goals -De Jong is an important piece -great effort from Matri, just didn't have any service -Muntari is a good squad player -Nocerino is useless -would have liked to see Cristante -Birsa started bright but disappeared Not going to get too happy though...Celtic and their leprachaun coach came way too close to a result. Hopefully, with a full squad we see them off more easily.
I know Rosso won't agree, but in so far as dispossessing Celticians in the midfield, Nocerino was good today. Lacking that little extra in offense, but Birsa was far worse offensively. All in all, and I said it above, Allegri deserves some credit today. Fair is fair, and I like to criticize him when appropriate, but he lined up the team properly today. Celtic never really threatened.
ugly match, but 3 points is 3 points... it feels like i've been saying that wayy too much over the last couple years. i noticed you didn't mention constant. was that because he was so bad he didn't need mentioning? he must have turned the ball over 25 times.
let's not post scores or results from other matches in milan game threads. use the other teams thread for that. you never know if someone has the other match on dvr. that's an unwritten rule we've been working under over here for years.
What a weird game. Started off bright and than fizzeled away. It was uneventful, but with our current situation of losing out on 6 starters, I'd say it was a good result. Home vs the least technical team of the group with half a dozen injured guys that we got lucky we played Celtic first. Hopefully guys get healthy and technically we get better. Alas, 3 pts is 3 pts...
