i don't know about you guys, but my customer service rep told me we'd have all manner of former players and coaches hanging out with the fans... i saw bruce arena there, but he was on the pitch talking with players, rongen showed up about 5 minutes before it was over and i'm pretty sure i saw a.j. wood. not really the star-studded event we were led to believe we were getting. free food and beer were good, game not so much.
I know Wood is still in the area. I saw him coaching a youth team up in the Herdon area a few weeks ago. He coached an entire practice holding a baby on his hip.
I got to talk to Bruce Arena, Thomas Rongen, Clint Peay and Curt Onalfo. I thought I saw one of the Cooks brothers there too. Free beer was OK ... don't know about the food - by the time I got there it had run out.
