Let's check in with the experts How do American women feel about the loss of many of their reproductive rights? Josh Barro and Ross Douthat drop by to explain.— New York Times Pitchbot (@DougJBalloon) February 23, 2024
Clearly we need to impregnate women the way God did. Tell the 12-16 year old virgin girls in advance that they will be impregnated (whether they like it or not), through sperm donors, IVF or other means. If it's good enough for God, it's good enough for us mere humans. There's a reason why the Bible never condemns rape or pedophilia. I mean, why would it when the Christian God is guilty of both?
I'd love to know how these job carpetbagging Southern states are gonna sell abortion bans & embryo personhood to domestic & foreign companies. Horrible education systems, high crime rates, weakass work safety laws & low to no corporate taxes can only get you so far.
They'll just ask for more handouts from the federal government. The liberal states give, the conservative states receive.
I don't know that all of my female relatives have enough sense not to get pregnant in this day and age. I would not bring a child into this country, but my ancestors all did.
I meant this crazy train (i.e. the embryos are people train). The train heading towards the cliff. Even if Trump built this train, I don't think he is riding in it. Many of the other crazy trains republican politicians ride, including Trump, don't lose votes.
Babies who ride on the mother’s lap are generally free. I assume it would be the same for babies IN the lap.
Those corporations have a fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders to only care about one thing. And that is why the world sucks.
While women's rights are being restricted here, this was a pretty big deal in France yesterday. That vote was very much a reaction to the Dobbs decision in the US. France becomes first country to explicitly enshrine abortion rights in constitution. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2024/03/04/france-abortion-constitution/ What a moment. Continuing the theme of the US being so behind Europe ... I am hearing that the first over-the-counter birth control pill is out. Not sure if its nationwide or only outside the states obsessed with Jesus (?). But crazy to think that this didn't happen earlier. Like 40 years earlier.
Expect to see more like these the closer the election gets. This is a painful story that so many families around America now know too well: Amanda was denied the medical care she needed, and it nearly took her life.More than 1 in 3 women in America now lives under an abortion ban, with more on the way.Donald Trump did this. pic.twitter.com/2vH8EdzIw8— Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) April 8, 2024
No one could've predicted! Breaking: The Arizona Supreme Court just upheld a 160-year-old abortion ban — making abortion illegal in nearly all circumstances — that will likely shutter clinics in the state. The 1864 ban predates Arizona's statehood.— Kyle Griffin (@kylegriffin1) April 9, 2024
Planned Parenthood still operating for time being The Arizona Supreme Court issued a devastating ruling to allow a Civil War-era, near-total ban on abortion to be enforced against doctors. Our doors are open. Planned Parenthood Arizona will continue to provide abortion care through 15 weeks, for a short period of time.— Planned Parenthood Arizona, Inc. (@PPArizona) April 9, 2024
Sorry to the women that will suffer from this but Dems should win the state with this nonsense. Hopefully they can get a trifecta to create a new law
Arizona has a ballot initiative that will protect abortion. So this probably will be a short term thing. Small condolence to those impacted by this law until then. At least Gallego can start picking his senate office. And this almost certainly puts Arizona out of reach for Trump.
I was getting emails from Gallego begging for money and saying that he was behind Lake. I live in PA, not AZ.
