Aberdeen fans seem to have done it again! When Rangers equalised on Saturday a so called fan turned round and launched a mouthful of abuse and threw something at Mark Hateley.

I just want to know what is the Aberdeen fans problem. They have the biggest chip on there shoulder! I don't know why they continue to cause so much trouble! There so bitter and I'll admit that it makes me bitter towards them as well! Hopefully the SFA will hammer them. Maybe ban there fans for a good number of games.

Aberdeen have a bad section of fans, it is a small minority but the they certainly do hate Rangers and make that known! However your comment is too general, not all Aberdeen fans are like that, indeed the vast majority aren't! Plus Rangers fans are definately worse, they give as good as they take up in Aberdeen. I will admit to be quite bitter towards many gers fans and i think rightly so! I honestly can't stand them and their union jacks, it's for such stupid reasons they bring them to games. Not to judge all of them by this though (or the fact most gers fans are gloryhunters or (violent) bigoted idiots) cause i have good friends who support Rangers.

p.s. i think Hateley can take a wee bit of abuse :D

I honestly think that in proportion to amount of fans to knuckle draggers amongst them Aberdeen fans win hands down. I never met a nice one yet and I encountered a few a Uni. There a bitter bunch!

I would have thought that the 8 year-old boy who had his head split open by a coin thrown from the Rangers end of Pittodrie would have generated more column-inches than a badly-dressed buffoon having a notebook (!) thrown in his general direction...

By all accounts Mr. Hateley was not an innocent wee lamb in all this, and he's set to land himself in trouble with the Press Complaints Commision after using the words "morons" and "cretins" in his newspaper article.

The thugs that have masqueraded as Rangers players in the past (Willie Johnstone, Ted McMinn, Terry Butcher, Terry Hurlock, Mark Hateley, Graeme Souness, Fernando Ricksen etc) have only served to worsen the behaviour of the Rangers fans. Not content with throwing coins at the Dons players (Robbie Winters got his head split open 2 years ago at Pittodrie) they were throwing till-rolls at Dons players taking throw-ins.

Rangers (and to a lesser extent Celtic) are cancers on Scottish football that thrive on and tacitly encourage sectarianism and bigotry. There should be no place in 21st Century Scotland for organisations such as these two.
