It's been rumored in the past, and now SKY is reporting ,after failing to agree on a new contract with Middlesbrough, Xavier has interest from America and Asia. A decent player with a clolorful personality and could contribute as a good option from someone looking for a RB who can spring some attacks. The two knocks are his age (34) and is suspension for performance enhancing drugs.

The only MLS team I see being silly enough to sign this guy is Toronto.

And even they might not be this gullible.

I prefer any Toronto FC starting defender over this guy. He is a first class
sh8t! I still can't believe how he made it back to the England when he was also useless in Germany when he was there  .

Real Salt Lake maybe? They're pretty foolish.

He can come to MLS at a salary slot equivalent to "very good defender." What is that, about $120K? Otherwise, this is foolish.

Please God no. Xavier sucks. After the debacle that was his Hannover career I was shocked when Middlesbrough signed him. Xavier go you back to the Portugese 3rd division.

Metro had major interest in this guy when Alexi was running the show. I hope and pray he finds a way to get him to LA.

lets give facundo some credit. the argentine mini-mullet is a touch of class compared to that fashion disaster. its like a pipe bomb filled with peroxide blew up in his face.

Probably one of the funnier things I saw this year was his little icon when he was included in the Soccernet team of the week.

He actually wasn't bad this past season (in the matches that I got to watch). If the price is right, I'll sign him.
