Now we all know that the Championship game is a time-buy, by the league. Yes, ABC is the official network for the MLS. But damn!, why the hell couldn't they wait another 15 minutes (game ended at 4:13 EST) to show the Galaxy receiving their trophy!

Yeah, its' not a Metro issue, but for the f'n glory, we couldve waited to see the Disney Open. All that wasted effort to bring MLS soccer onto the American landscape. This is pathetic, and truly shows where we are going. How much longer should we be on ABC? With the many cable and satellite folks out there- the hell with "free TV", we should go talk to Fox Sports instead. Does anyone know when this TV contract expires. ABC has done nothing for us since Day 1!

Also, today I read that Commish Garber is in the final year of his contract. Should he stay?

Hey-it's the DISNEY golf classic, the giant behemoth mouse that dominates ABC. Consider yourself lucky that you got to see Ruiz' goal. What do you expect from a Mickey Mouse network?

And Garber? At least he got rid of the penalty shootout rule...

They didn't even show the trophy being presented for the World Cup, so this shouldn't come as a surprise.

Besides, did you REALLY want to watch someone like Cobi Jones drool all over the Cup?

On a related note, Daniel Hernandez held a press conference after the match and blamed OZ for the loss.

Why does this surprise anyone. ABC didn't stick around for the World Cup presentation either. Not to beat a dead horse but be thankful they stuck around after 4pm eastern time.

OK, I for one was happy to see both over-times. At first I was annoyed they cut to the golf before the trophy, but what the hell. Tiger Woods trying to come from behind was great drama for a very lucrative demographic. Plus it was an ABC event. Not happy, but can't blame them.

Ruiz blowing off Veronica, now that gets me steamed.

goes to show you abc can sink so low,, how low? lower than whale sh** that sinks to the ocean bottom. in the words or george carlin, i cannot believe they would rather interrupt the greatest moment this yr for mls (handing of trophy to champs) to broadcast a sport of golf thats as interesting as watching flies ******************

Any golf event with Tiger Woods in contention always gets higher ratings than any MLS match . They fulfilled their obligation by showing the match . Until the MLS moves out of the fringe sport scale that's the way it's going to stay .
