Jack Harrison hands down my MOTM: generating most of the attack, covering his side well, reinforcing Roca and Adams in front of the CBs, and good positioning in set pieces. Marquee game for the Englishman.
Rodrigo is an intelligent player, he keeps adapting himself to the holes left by the weak S'hampton defense.
Big time combination by Aaronson and Adams there. Two, blind, disguised passes to break lines. The second almost sprung Leeds for a major chance.
Maybe take another watch… He missed the first touch on the square ball from BA while wide open, on the attack where he was put through on the left and Bamford hit it just wide Rodrigo’s first touch was strong and took him wide diffusing the attack. if you read the thread there are probably 5 posts complaining about his first touch. He’s still been dangerous and took the goal well.
Marsch totally outcoaching Hutti. Notice how Leeds keeps finding an entire empty band between Lavia and the defenders, yet the Saints coach has done nothing to fix it.
Everybody else is praising Rodrigo, including the British commentators, who are seldom fond of Spaniards. This place has the horrible habit of putting down the other players in the team to prop our guy. Really bad, bad habit.
Seems to be a good formation change by Marsh at half. Rodrigo is up top, Aaronson at the 10 and the speedy guy they subbed on is out right.
Umm nobody is putting down Rodrigo to prop BA up. One has nothing to do with the other. And the commentators have praised the goals, but Rodrigo lost many balls in the first half unforced.
Never a boring moment with Marsch-ball. Was it Adams who left the initial duel on the flank in the goal build up?
