Week 7: The weaker teams were able to get some good results this week while other teams place themselves in more trouble. It was that kind of week in MLS.

The Fire handed Toronto FC yet another lose. It seems all but over for Winter if RSL beat TFC, which seems more than likely. At 0-6 where else can this team go. Winter has won only 6 games while being in charge of Toronto…. The plug should be pulled after next week… If not then TFC just want to go down in flames.

LA got another win against inconsistent Colorado who were without Martin Rivero in the lineup. LA are climbing at the expense of the poorer teams in MLS.

The shocks of the week came with the WhiteCaps beating Dallas and showing what could be if the CAPS were more consistent and the biggest win came from the Timbers who stopped the bleeding by beating Sporting KC and snapping their prefect record.

In one of MLS oldest rivalries DC United got a much need jolt by hammering the Red Bulls 4-1…. So with that the Red Bulls again rage question marks as to how good really is this team? The defensive work is just poor. DC stop the bleeding… for now.

The Quakes are officially for real hammering RSL 3-1.

Freddy “Once the wonderkid” Adu backheels a goal to give the Union 3 points against Chivas USA who look DOA… A mini brawl was the only eye popping event in a game which should that Chivas have much work to do to even be dangerous. Let alone make the playoffs.

Gold Star: Chris Pontius scores a hat trick and brings the Red Bulls back to earth!

Silver Star: Camilo. Came back to the starting line up and scored a monster goal to give the CAPS a win against the best in MLS.

Wooden Spoon: Who else? Aron Winter. After a 0-6 start dignity would suggest you step aside. Winter has 6 wins in 40 league games in charge of TFC…
