Listening to the Ashlee Simpson CD?

 

She does punk songs you know...Ashlee's unsure about the first single, but has a song she's particularly fond of called "Sucks to Be You." "It's a punk song," she said. "It has horns and everything."

 

God that's great. I'm forwarding that quote to my best friend who's first real punk band had a horrible song called, oddly enough "Sucks to be You"

I'd treat everyone to the lovely lyrics, but I'd be embarrassed by association.

 

How can someone with a big record deal be that ********in' ignorant about music? It boggles the mind.

 

I'd rather listen to Bon Jovi than the Goo Goo Dolls.

 

Just watch Jessica in action on "Newlyweds" and you'll see that it has to do with the gene pool.

Seriously, Ashlee's quote makes me think of a conversation that I heard between two fourteen-year-olds about Avril Lavigne. One kid said something like, "I hate Britney Spears, but I don't mind Avril Lavigne. At least she's punk."

...and that's another thing I don't get, they don't even have a particularly attractive gene pool.

It's obvious, almost too obvious to mention if it weren't so infuriating, but I HATE Ticketmaster. A $15 ticket should not be subjected to $3.75 convenience charge and a $3.75 handling fee...therefore turning it into a $22.50 ticket.

I used to work at a ticket sales office. Websales were our favorite, because it was the least amount of work. You could crank off 100 websales in the time it takes to handle about 25 phone sales or about 10 sales in person (the worst.)

I'm oficially on board with the thrills. i've tried to fight it, but i love the first album and the new song is great.

the classical music industry pays people to design the crappiest album covers ever. they should just farm the junk out to some art schools so the kids can get some good stuff in their portfolios.
