As an Arsenal fan I'd love to see this happen - regardless of his age I think Villa would make for an excellent addition to the Club. The author makes some great points about Villa in his piece - the fact that he's very different from both Giroud and Walcott would provide us with yet another attacking option. Strength in Giroud. Pace in Walcott. Composure and technique in Villa. He can play in wide positions too and that 4-4-2 with Walcott and Villa up front would make for quite an interesting attack.

He's on loan from New York City FC, which will start in MLS next year, to Melbourne City in Australia.

Villa is 32 and will turn 33 before NYCFC starts. To compare, Beckham was 32 when he made his MLS debut.
