    Poor guy is in bad shape.... Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, diabetes, lung fibrosis....

    Oh well, good on him with the star then, he's an icon.

    Trivia note:

    James lost a middle finger early in life while on military duty. He managed to hide it from cameras in most episodes, but you can see it is missing in "The Trouble with Tribbles"

    RIP Scotty. I have a lump in my heart today. Hope that your soul is boldly soaring among the stars as I write this.

    He lost his finger on the beach during D-Day, he was with the Canadian military.
