Reading is fundamental, Ted. This is what I said. Tonight, the Quakes deserved better. Had the run of play in the 1st half, created more dangerous chances, and the Crew were lucky NOT to be down in the 1st half. Not the entire game.
They created the better chances early on. They finish one or two of them and it's a different game. That's what I'm saying. Their lack of finishing screwed them last night. They finished their chances better last year, and look where that got them.

Not that I really should be dignifying this drivel with a response .... I support the Crew 100%, however I do try to be objective. The Quakes in the 1st half had the better of the really dangerous chances, and they should have done much better. They choked those chances away and deserved to lose the game thusly. And if I WAS to support another team, there are worse squads to support than the Quakes. I could end up a Fire or DCU or MetroPukes supporter I do have to laugh .. for as much as you like to make this an Aimer Free Zone, you all are way too eager to drop her name in posts in this forum. ROFL

SoccerAndy, I've got your back. Any objective soccer fan who knows the game knows we stole 3 points from San Jose last Wednesday. That's usually the goal in any sport's playoffs. Steal a win on the road, earn a win at home, move on to the next round! Mission accomplished! Next!
We earned the win Wednesday, we didn't steal anything. Goals speak louder than "outtas" and "shouldas." Your team just busted their ass to sweep the returning champions and people are in here whining that we got lucky. It's shameful. I guess it's lucky that Garcia has been kicking perfect corners for us lately, that the team is playing physical and passing well, that Cunningham has been on fire. These are the days you should be HAPPY to be a fan, not on here saying we just got lucky. We're in the Open Cup final, we just swept the returning MLS champions in the first round of the playoffs, the team is playing its best ball all year. IT'S OK TO BE HAPPY ABOUT YOUR TEAM.
