The 'C' doesn't even look like it's part of that font. Because they designed it around the flag shape, it tapers toward the bottom. But all the other letters have blocky vertical lines. Even ones like 'Y' and 'W' that in other, better fonts involve diagonal lines tapering toward the bottom, have been replaced by block vertical forms instead.

 

It seriously looks like a Halloween font. The C on its own is inexcusable. To have built an entire font around it borders on being a crime against humanity.

 

I know nothing of such things. Is this a custom-designed font ( except obviously the C) or a stock font they bought out of a catalog or something?

Certainly not trying to relive the whole debacle, but the font was a custom creation named "NineSix".

 

I thought the font in that promo was different. Looks like they edited it for some reason. Maybe to make it more Halloween themed??

Also there is the outline of the stadium in letters such as B and R. The original looks much better.

 

Oh My God. Is this one of Patrice's master strokes, then? Reading the design/marketing bullshittery about this "bespoke" font makes me want to punch something, and I usually don't reach that stage of daily frustration until mid-afternoon.
