I can already see our players losing their head, these fools need to realize what they are playing for
Rueda needs to chew out these losers, all that space to run forward but no one moves at all. Jesus Christ this team
Rueda is an idiot for playing Benguche. This retárd has Puerto on the bench and he's exactly the player that is needed to unlock that Nicaraguan defense. Lmao this shít is laughable.
He is in love with these guys that have not produced anything, Arboleda and Benguche cannot play Solo Forward. Bro has legit beef with Rochez idk why
These players are to blame as well, it’s ONE game that you have to win and they come out to play like that.
This is the biggest humble pie they've ever devoured. Everything this lunatic, El Fantasma Figueroa said, came to fruition.. Costa Rican coach, El Pate Centeno, said it best this week... When a Honduran team has to win, they don't. Don't expect to win next week. This is pretty much over and I hope these pathetic excuse for athletes that represent us, feel that.
What the ******** was that! Thankfully I didn't wake up for that shit. I've got to say though, when I saw the result I wasn't even surprised, which is really telling. It's sad as I really like Rueda and I wanted to trust him but when it's evident that things aren't working when something needs to be done to shake things up he continues to resort to type. Surely there's a time to take roll the dice, especially in high stakes when a marvick is needed. The first goal seemed slightly out of the blue but conceding unexpectedly happens, it's about how team's with resolve react... CR were 1-0 at half time, there's ample time for the management and the players to salvage something. This can't solely be squarred on the manager though. It's in our footballing DNA - T'n'T 2001, USA 2009, let alone at club level! For whatever reason the fortitude isn't there. Granted there's loads of players out but equally it's an opportunity for players to step up, especially against a side of Nicaragua's pedigree. The pitch looked like an odd one, both goals seem to come from ill timed bounce early on in play when Najar and Arriaga miss judged the bounce but there's 90 minutes, there's literally zero excuses.
Alonso Martinez has torn his ACL in the game vs Haiti, massive loss for them. Those cheap artificial turfs are no joke.
Yea they're limping into this game just like we are. They're calling on their old guard as a last ditch attempt to salvage their qualifying hopes. I feel in the midst of this horrific chaos, we still somehow still firmly control our destiny.
You kind of hit the nail on the head really. We through the "automatic" route away but on paper this was always going to be the shoot out with CR in San Jose anyway, as was the perceived likelihood was needing a result in in SJ... only now it has to be the 3 points and Nica not conceding too many. The frustrating thing is there's a bit of hope but with that comes the greater fall.
One thing Rueda may have had a point with was Getsel, he was really reluctant to call him from the start. The more I see of him play he really looks uncoordinated and unable. For our level when we invite so much pressure he looks a sitting duck. Same with Benguche. Zero agility and very limited speed. International football doesn't lend to these guys. I was thinking even Bengston's has a better highlight reel then him under Rueda. I just hope by some miracle we don't conceide and Palma, or anyone, digs a goal out of somewhere and we manage to shithouse our way to the World Cup.
Hopefully Nicaragua are motivated to not get thrashed by Haiti again after beating us, at the end of the day our players have to actually produce but Rueda’s substitution decisions are just so stupid.
Alvarez is the mtm for us so far, dude is showing up everywhere in the midfield to help move the ball forward
