And they are ready for war!!

They play in the fall a most impressive schedule:

    Indiana
    Akron
    UCSB
    SMU
    Drake

I think Creighton will be fine in the fall agan not a bad day when you knock off Virginia coming from behind to boot. I think their back up keeper in the Creighton game looked pretty bad.

    Creighton Blue Jays refueling

The Jays got a huge road win tonite at 8th ranked UCSB. Creighton shut down a very good team and took advantage of corner to drill home the winning goal. Jays had a great team effort tonight. Finley and Gomez were tightly marked all game yet had some moments showing their skill & abilities to link up.

Holt picks up his third straight shutout, look for the Jays to be in the top by the end of the weekend.

A great win for the team!!!
They got no respect before the season started, and I said that people were selling them short.
Now after going 7 - 0 in exh. games this year (including wins against: reigning champs UVA, a national team and a pro team), they are 3 -0 in the regular season with 7 goals and 0 goals against!
    GO JAYS!

Imagine if Doyle was still on this squad! I really like the team and rotation that Coach Clark is using. Acoff-Moran have been terrorizing the flanks, and it sounded like Jace Peters had a great game last night and he could be an our answer at the back. Dermer and Duran are a solid pair and Polak is exceeding our lofty expectations.

IMHO we have been much better off last year had Jordan not gone down. He gives this team great balance and controls the midfield.

This team is off to a great start, but we should have realistic expections. They are young, and play a brutal schedule. Having said that I think they can become and elite team by tournament time.

    GO Jays.

With Finley our pre season All American we have scoring goals this year solved. That is we can get the balls played into the final third with improved accuracy. Finlay's speed and touch is unmatched and his connection with Jordan will be exciting to watch all year long .

Both goals by Jordan... (Go Greg!!!)
Holt gets another clean sheet and stops a brutal PK with style!!!
    He's a monster in Goal!!

    GO JAYS!

Tell me more about how he's faring, please. I thought he was fantastic with the U-17s, displaying a calmness under pressure and ability to distribute that most of our defenders lack.

Is he still playing left back in a back-4? Is he asked to initiate or support the attack? Athletically, how is he adjusting to the college game?

Any info (and clips if you have 'em) is appreciated.

He is having no problem adjusting to the college game. The first game of the year I did not see him pushing forward or doing much with the attack. Last night against DePaul I saw a little more out of him as far as working his way into the attack, it appears as though his role is to support the attack more than to initiate it. I will pay more attention on the 24th if I remember and maybe can give you a better update then.

Creighton plays a 4 back and he seems to be set as the left back and looks pretty comfortable.
