Is it wrong to think that a mainstream, blockbuster movie wouldn't devote 7+ minutes to a scene like this today? Yet it's integral to Raiders.
Jezz... couldn't they have thought of a more unimaginative title? 'Bond 25' Has An Official Title: 'No Time To Die' - BBC https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-49410251 Earlier today, 007’s caretakers, producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, unveiled the title for the super-spy’s 25th adventure, which is also likely to be the last time that Daniel Craig carries Bond’s license to kill. The Cary Joji Fukunaga-directed film is set to hit theaters in April 2020 as "No Time to Die" — the fourth 007 movie to feature the word 'die' or 'dies' in its name. (Predecessors include "Live and Let Die," "Tomorrow Never Dies," and "Die Another Day.") The film opens with James happily enjoying retirement in Jamaica, the 007 moniker having been passed along to a new agent, played by "Captain Marvel" breakout star, Lashana Lynch. But the arrival of a new threat in the form of Oscar-winner Rami Malek pushes Bond off the beach and back into action. Ralph Fiennes and Ben Whishaw will return as M and Q respectively. Naomie Harris is coming back as Moneypenny and Rory Kinnear will again play MI6 chief of staff Bill Tanner. Lea Seydoux is reprising her Madeleine Swann character from 2015's "Spectre," while Jeffrey Wright is returning as ex-CIA agent Felix Leiter. 007 fans may be aware that famed Bond producer Cubby Broccoli was also behind a 1958 prisoner of war film called "No Time To Die" (which was also known as "Tank Force"). "No Time To Die" will be released on April 3 in the UK and on April 8 in the U.S.
I tried thinking of unused Fleming titles yesterday and couldn't get any further than Property of a Lady, The Hildebrand Rarity and Risico. The first and last of which would have been better than the one they chose.

Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum Coming Back For 'Jurassic World 3' - Hollywood Reporter https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/h...park-cast-will-shape-jurassic-world-3-1243429 Last night at a special fan screening of "Jurassic World" (2015) at the ArcLight in Hollywood, director Colin Trevorrow announced that Jurassic Park’s Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, and Sam Neill will reprise their respective roles as Dr. Ian Malcolm, Dr. Ellie Sattler, and Dr. Alan Grant in "Jurassic World 3." The trio joins "Jurassic World" stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. While Goldblum, Dern, and Neill have all reprised their roles in the franchise following the original 1993 blockbuster, Trevorrow’s film will mark the first time all three will be reunited in the same film. Plot details are still under wraps, but Trevorrow’s recently released short film "Battle at Big Rock," written by "Jurassic World 3" screenwriter Emily Carmichael, teased the repercussions of the dinosaurs being set loose in the world at the end of "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" (2018). With the return of three iconic characters, "Jurassic World 3" has the potential to be the biggest film in the franchise yet.

The main reason I'm looking forward to The Matrix 4 is that it will probably bring back Neo-style sunglasses. They look good on me and when I broke my last pair I found out no one makes that style any more.
Just a reminder. Tonight's the night CBS Sunday Night at the Movies returns. Watching movies the old-fashioned way!
There are very few recentish movie scenes I hate more than this one. Not just the fact that everything about it is anti-Trek. But also, using Sabotage as the soundtrack to a hype action movie scene is so far beneath the song that I feel insulted that they (Simon Pegg?) made that choice. It's like they diminished both Trek and the song by doing this.
Just finished watching one of the great chase scenes in movie history, as Butch and Sundance try to get away from the posse - "Who are those guys?" I never see it on lists of greats, probably because it involves fleeing on horses and on foot.

Cyberpunk delayed to late November... An important development update pic.twitter.com/uFGrt9Tqpi— Cyberpunk 2077 (@CyberpunkGame) June 18, 2020
So apparently Spike Lee wanted to use the same kind of de-aging technology used in "The Irishman" for the scenes in which his four protagonists are still young soldiers in "Da 5 Bloods". But they (meaning Netflix) didn't let him because it was too expensive, which is its own little controversy now (why let the white director do it but not the black director?). Me, I don't get the obsession with using this technology. Just cast different actors in the younger version of the roles. It worked perfectly well for decades. Instead, you get something that looks weird and still on the wrong side of the uncanny valley, like in "The Irishman".
Oh, I just realised I accidentally posted the Cyberpunk news in the movie, not the video game thread.
