These refs have been giving +7 minutes for ET but no even though 3 goals were scored only 4 minutes is given. I wonder why?
What does Qatar owning them have to do with Madrid? That isn't just some MLS team that is barca's MLS team. You like cheering for Jordi Alba? Suarez? I don't get that
I guess I’m alone in having a unique dislike for state-owned clubs. I appreciate Madrids ownership structure and think Qatar funding PSG is not only unethical but unsportsmanlike. Of course I root for my hometown team, but also these guys are washed players helping an MLS club grow. What they do now has zero effect on Madrid. What PSG accomplishes does. After Barca, I despise PSG more than any other club. I’ll stop because I know it’s fruitless to get people here not to trash talk them, but I would have thought PSG of all clubs would have a stronger disdain
I also have a unique dislike for state owned clubs.... But I despise seeing any of those clowns win a game. Besides, I'm sure PSG are gonna win quite easily, Miami don't have the legs for 90 min ... Had palmeiras had to win tonight, they would have, could have scored 2 more after their second. I think Miami will be dead by the 70th and whatever the score line is at the moment, add 2/3 more to PSG.....
I hate PSG and City the most after Barca so go Inter Miami and MiamiNative. Always had respect for Beckham for the professional he was at RM as well. Inter are Barca lite, but they are like semi-pro/semi-retirement home so I can't take them seriously enough to hate.
No, I like you hate what state-owned clubs did the game. Teams like Chelsea, P$G and ManCity came out of nowhere to dominate the World stage simply through limitless spending. They inflated transfer fees and ruined it for a lot of the hard working clubs that lack such backing. Moreover, they symolize a lot of what's wrong with the World we live in with corruption, overspending, etc. I'll never respect those 3 teams regardless of how many trophies they win.
Pathetico Madrid and Simeone blaming the refs for their KO from CWC. This is golden. https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/45571721/everything-went-atletico
The "We don't talk about refs" shtick should generate some kind of fine or ban to the coach saying it. Everyone complains about refs, especially the ones who say they don't talk about refs. Yes, Barcelona is the worst offender.
How weak is Porto if they conceded 4 goals to Al-Ahly? Porto is the only team Al-Ahly managed to score against.
And yet they were the only MLS team in this tournament that showed anything. LAFC and Seattle combined for 0 wins and 6 losses while Miami had 0 losses. I would also like to point out the fact that while MLS teams have 3 DP players that don't go towards the salary cap, the rest of the team has a salary cap of 5.9 million total. Meanwhile a team like Palmeiras has a squad valuation over 300 million. They should not be competitive. I hope the MLS leadership loosens the strings and either raises the cap significantly or scraps it all together so that these teams could be more competitive in the next club world cup. Messi will likely retire or go play in Argentina after this coming world cup. His contract with Miami ends in 2026 and talks of a renewal haven't gone far.
Messi is undeniably an all-time great, yet his teams often benefit from favorable calls and non-calls, probably a mix of the revenue his presence generates and referees’ reluctance to become targets. Say this about any major club and few would object, but apply it to the sport’s biggest star and it suddenly turns controversial.
Do you think Inter Miami would have done better than Seattle if they had played against PSG, Atlético Madrid, and Botafogo? What about if they played Chelsea or Flamengo? Maybe they could have won or drawn against Espérance. If Inter Miami and Seattle had switched groups, I think Seattle could have also qualified for the next stage.
Come on man. Lol Miami have created a decent group of marginally mobile Messi friends. The Suarez goal was vintage. Sometimes I feel like people are being intentionally silly.
