    Also, their last two competitive matches were thrashing Inter in a historic 5-0 in a CL final and then crushing Athletico... They win when it matters right now.

    They just lost "right now". That's the meaning of "right now".

    We're not going to give them the CL trophy as some of Championship belt they win/lose every week either, they won, fine, congratulations, but today is a new day.

    As Galatico said, not a big deal. After the World Cup this whole argument and competition is pretty much settled.

    Messi played well against Porto yesterday...still has his recognizable dribbling and brilliant passing through defence.Many midfielders would be ashamed of the passing skills from Messi.

    In 6 months when the Leagues have started nobody will remember about this tournament. Only the team that won it will remember it by wearing a cringe gold patch on their kit.

    They made a big mistake by hosting this in the US. It just feels like a minor summer friendly tournament. I believe it would really benefit from a European atmosphere. It could also be a huge success in Brazil. They will probably hold it in Saudi Arabia or Qatar next for the REAL atmosphere next time.

    If DAZN is still around in 4 years i will be shocked and i was one of the first subscribers when it launched in europe, then later got to work with them.

    Ha, i wish one could say that. The guy would be so much more revered if he'd have a bit more of a charming personality.

    In a way him and Messi are Laurel and Hardy if it wouldn't be for football.

    Messi is quite the rat to be honest, I would never forget him kicking the ball at the real fans and even at the world cup he behaved like a twat.

    Thinking Messi is a humble guy is simply wrong.

    I think that's the least offensive thing any football player can do to be honest. Fans sit behind the advertisement boards and yell insults and obsceneties so foul with a frequency like in no other sport and it's somehow part of the culture.

    That's truly a non factor to me.

    But neither Messi or Ronaldo are really standout human beings in the sport. They are just incredibly good at playing it.

    If I'm honest, the worst fand I've ever met were in football. Me and @J-Mezzy both have had the "pleasure" of meeting Inter Milan fans around a CL final and that's not even a fanbase that has a bad reputation, but still, what an awful time.

    Being the most accessible sport also allows the least effort to get into which means every dumb dumb is allowed.

    Am not sure how the Atleti match mattered more than the Botafogo one. Did PSG get 4 points for the win against Atleti?
