Beating Porto might be the biggest result in Inter Miami’s young history.

With 4 points after two games and with head to head as the group stage tiebreaker, they’re pretty much a lock for a spot in the round of 16. Only Al Ahly can hypothetically jump them if they beat Porto.

Palmeiras and Inter Miami will go head-to-head for the right to avoid being humiliated by Paris.

Isn't a tie breaker decided by goal difference and the. By head to head? If palmeiras beat Miami and Porto beats Al ahyl, Porto could still qualify right?

Nope, it’s head to head first.
    https://www.fifa.com/en/tournaments.../articles/play-off-knockout-phase-tiebreakers

So Porto cannot jump Miami because they can’t surpass their points. But Porto can still qualify on goal difference if Palmeiras loses

Fede hasn’t been bad; it’s just that the Fede-Tchou-Jude combo doesn’t work. Not enough passing ability, and their collective defensive work rate is overkill. The clear solution is to replace Tchou with Arda.

Also, I am sadly starting to agree with the idea that Vini has seen his best days. It’d be nice if we could sell him for a huge sum and get a good striker to partner with Mbappe. Ideally, Flo would find a way to get Haaland as the replacement, as unsubstantiated speculation has suggested.

Finally, Rodrygo needs to be shipped out. We’re basically locked into having Franco as his long term replacement, but for the next few years, it’d be nice if we could get a veteran AM that’d be willing to rotate with Franco, provide quality if Franco isn’t good enough, but also not take enough minutes to hinder Franco’s development. No one in particular comes to mind, though.

Saw a discussion on Twitter that this was few minutes before he was taken off and he was struggling due to humidity. Person who made the video cropped out time to remove the context. Even TAA was taken out at 65 mins for Lucas due to humidity factor.

Vini has regressed as a player since BDR snub though. It will be a big concern if he doesn't turn it around this season. Probably gets the best out of him when he's closer to the goal like 2023-24 than out wide in 4-3-3.

I don't think Vini has really changed his positioning during that season. He's always hugged the touchline and beat people with the added bonus that his finishing got drastically better.

The difference is that he's mentally and emotionally toast.

It's clearly all mental with Vini. He's too young to have lost all his talent. He'll bounce back with a vengeance under Xabi.

Cristiano scoring a tap in in a friendly tournament - "Wow what a freak of nature, he's defying all odds"

Messi scoring a direct free kick - "How did the goal keeper left that in."

I mean I understand it's not a popular opinion to have here and I loved Cristiano's time with our club but you need to be a bit objective don't you guys think?

I don't think it's that big of a deal. It was only one poster saying that.

I don't think it is either, I just think it's a bit hypocritical that's all.

Everyone here acts like a know it all while they change what they value and believe every time someone they like does something and vice versa.

I thought the post was too dumb to even address, but I totally get what you're saying and you're correct.

Messi vs PSG would be fun, a golden marketing moment for FIFA. It also justifies the inclusion of Inter Miami in the tournament.

Botafogo put in the work, nobody was saving their energy or refusing to press. Even 1 player playing one way football is too many.

Its looking like the winner of Palmeiras Miami is going to end up playing PSG rather than the loser

PSG will beat Seattle. Tough to predict the result of Atleti vs Botafogo.

Botafogo is 3 points ahead of PSG with the head to head. What’s the tiebreaker if it’s 3 teams tied on points?

I don't know your age. This was all over the Instagram. But only a few days ago, it was the 31st anniversary of the OJ Simpson's car chase. It happened during the first match of the World Cup 1994 and the Game X of the NBA Finals. I was watching the World Cup games. I was aware of the car chase, but I did not know the magnitude of it. I heard the World Cup commentators kept talking about switching to the car chase during half-time and the end of the game. Actually, I thought it was just a news show talking about how OJ Simpsons disappeared, and the police was looking for him. So, I switched to watch the NBA Finals. No, I saw the car chase on Youtube many years later.
