I assume you’re half-serious. We have no baller. The roster suffers from two years of criminal neglect. Issa’s to blame, primarily. So is Nancy, since he didn’t seem too worried about replacing players when he was here. HR inherited this team, but is probably clueless as to what to do about it, with his ‘I’ve only ever had a job in Sweden’ perspective.

 

Not a defeatist. Just a realist. The system that Rydstrom is trying to instill does not and will not work in MLS. Tell me another team that plays recklessly down the field and has no idea what to do when they get there. That’s realism not defeatism.

 

By my calculations, we have dropped 17 points from winning/drawn positions and gained 2 from losing/drawn positions.

For a net of -15 thru 14 matches. The SKC game is on both sides of the ledger.

We have been ahead for most of the season, yet are 3-4-7 (WDL).

We tried to play 3 in the back and got shredded. He switched to 442 so we would not bleed goals. Kinda successful.

We are getting absolutely nothing from 2 of our DPs and Rossi is a Robin not a Batman. Defense is poor. CM is mediocre. Attack is toothless. We lack height, speed, steel, and nous.

The coach may be bad, but it is hard to tell with this shite roster.

Staying within touching distance of a PO spot until the window opens was always the goal. We are 4 pts out of 9th with 1 match left until the break/transfer window. Home vs ATL.

Win that, and that has been accomplished.

Then we will see what we can see what Bez can do and what moves will be made. A big teardown is possible. Big improvements possible. A punt is possible.

Win midweek and we are in the USOC SFs. That would be a nice cherry in a crappy season.
