    Hizzah,

JUst reading through some of the posts in the thread I bumped for CW reminded me of how much insight goes into this place at times. Some exceptional contributions in that thread just die when the thread leaves the first page. A lot of it remains applicable to current affairs and threads like those are excellent educational tools for all of us.

Anyway, I'm just throwing this suggestion out there...it may get shot down...or it may generate enough interest to be taken seriously? I dunno.

My suggestion is that threads that get nominated by a majority of the board or get to a certain level of interest be worthy of voting into the Classics hall of fame...or something. I know there are some gem threads I've completely forgotten about, created by numerous posters who put in a lot of effort and thought to create that which I'd consider a classic thread. Maybe their achievements should earn them some kind of recognition?

It doesn't have to be just educational thread either, there have been some hilarious ones that would also merit inclusion imo. It's just an idea, which all of us as contributors could look back upon whenever we feel like it for the odd giggle or 'hmm' moment?

So, who would be in favour of a classics sub-forum for the MUFC board?

*I hope I'm not overstepping the mark here :D but without revolution the aristocrats don't know the poor exist :D

As long as some of my good posts are featured, then I'm for it.

I'm sure the classic forum would be 30 threads deep within an hour of being put up. I've got a lot of favourites I read through from time to time for a laugh or a good read.

The Classics sub-forum would be a great idea....especially for newbies who don't want to sift through the entire archive.

If its not feasible to have too many sub forums then we can kill the news forum (and replace it w/ classic thread subforum) which is a waste of time and just have a news thread which I think many of us would welcome back and let the bot post in there, if at all necessary.

Good idea. Dig them up, shoot them, burn them, piss on them and then bury them again.

I enjoy the status quo, with DS bumping ancient, long-forgotten threads in the midst of current ones. Always a nice surprise...:)

Phwoah! Having to trudge through all that Andrew Neave stuff must have been a true joy :D ;)

To be honest, I think it's a fantastic idea because then newer members or lazy assholes (like myself) can read up on anything uber interesting that we missed out on first time round.

    ...............

    ............

    ..........

    ITS A MOTHER********ING MESSAGE BOARD!!

WILL YOU GET ON WITH YOUR LIVES!!

CLASSIC THREADS?! WTF! IT ISN'T SHAKESPEARE! JESUS CHRIST!!! IT'S an F'N INTERNET BOARD.

......Spend more time posting than WATCHING FOOTBALL!!

You need Jesus, all of you...or some goddamn **********...stop posting, find a girl (those who ain't married), and score...

My apologies for the misogynistic womanizing..but Lord of Mercy, a Classic Threads Subforum? Great Caesar's Self-Righteous Ghost!

You don't need anymore subforums. Just a sticky with a collection of very good posts, of varying lengths on different topics, as an example for le n00bz

Don't sugar-coat it DFR. How do you really feel about a Classic Threads sub forum? Don't mince words. Don't beat around the bush. Just have the courage to come out and say it.

I think people who come here who aren't United supporters, who post and expect us to care about what they're saying are a bad idea.

    ;)
