And the Jade North saga continues as he makes his BIG overseas move! http://www.smh.com.au/news/sport/football/a-league/jade-heads-to-korea/2008/12/11/1228585031992.html
Newcastle Jets interested in Sigurd Rushfeldt , Norway ? http://www.nettavisen.no/sport/fotball/tippeligaen/tromso/article2471405.ece http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sigurd_Rushfeldt
Yes , but now they seem more interested in Sigurd Rushfeldt. I doubt they can afford Steffen Iversen.
Their owner is a multi millionaire who is known for spending money on a lot of things ( most uneeded) Ontop of that, 2 players are being sold which should be enough to pay Iverson's wages as he would be released on a free so no transfer fee would be needed(I hope so anyway)
Steffen got contract to 2010, I doubt that Rosenborg will sell for under 2-3 mill Euros. Sigurd is free.
Beauchump is playing Champions League football, albeit his team gets thrashed regularly but that is pretty much better than playing in the A-League...i;m not too sure about Carney...he had German clubs supposedly all over his doodle only a year ago he is just at the wrong club..maybe if he cant establish himself at his new club if he leaves SUTD then he should come back to Australia. The rest on the list should all come back though.
Agree with Rick, except for James Wesolowski. Kid should leave the UK, that's for sure! But not for here - continental Europe, somewhere there. Not that it may be that much easier for him there, but I get the sense that hthis midfielder's brittle body just continually gets hacked to pieces in the lower English leagues. I hate to generalise, but the lower English leagues are full of butchers, chopping people's legs off. The EPL may be getting increasingly sophisticated, but that league is an island, within the island that is Britain. The lower English leagues are still very much English and he's seen it close up one too many times - 2 broken legs atleast and other persistent injury troubles. He made his first team Championship debut at 18, but missed a cumulative 2 years or so, through injuries. If it weren't for that, he'd have well in excess of 100 apperances for Leceister by now. He may be still only 21, but due to injuries, he's a very old 21. But he's always been one of our leading talents, right up with, even higher than, the likes of fellow long term young overseas stars like Troisi and Kilkenny. A clear example - at 18-20 years of age, when fit, he was a regular starter for Leceister city in the English 2nd Tier and the fans adore him, he's a clear favourite. He apparently has good technique, as part of this talent, so hence why I think Holland, Germany, France or the like might be perfect for him. He's too talent for the A-League and also too brittle - season might be short, but he may get hacked here too. BTW Recently he seems to have avoided re-injury, but he wasn't getting first team - probably 1 injury too many and in that time he's been properly supplanted in the rotation.
Jacob Burns, 30, midfielder, Unirea Urziceni, Romania Urziceni are 2nd in Liga I (this means Champions League qualifiers) going into the winter break. They are by no means a cellar-dweller team. Or maybe Burns fits into the "benched" category. I really don't know how many games he played for Unirea this season.
Oh Aloisi, oh Aloisi. What beckons for you, dear troubled striker of ours? Put him in midfield and give someone else a go for a change, Kossie - it can't hurt us more than it already has. A game where the ********ing fullbacks are having a better crack at goal than our marquee striker really tells me we need to change something and stop waiting for him to change around.
He should be a centreback, nothing will hit the back of the net if he did, absolutely nothing. Hell, we could play without a keeper.
