    Rochester NY, but or
Milwaukke or Vancouver. The winner hosts the final.

Good decision by the A-League i though, but the Rhinos will win the Cup on the road and well, people will still have excuses. Oh well...

  2. what was that you were saying about the Rhinos winning something? cause i'm pretty sure they're out

Based on what? Their loss in MN a couple years ago?

From what I've been reading about the Rampage stadium--a few bleachers and most of the crowd sitting around on grassy knolls somewhere in the nondescript burbs--I think the A-league would have been better represented in Richmond--20,000 seats on a field used for the NCAA championships and world cup qualifiers.

Plus it would have kept me out of the bars on Saturday night in a quest for Fox Sports World. . . .

i Agree that Richmond would have been better suited for a final.

Not to mention that they apparently have a bad mosquito problem at the stadium. During half time of their last game they had to spray the benches and area with bug spray. Those poor souls who have to sit on the grass are going to have a good time with the mosquitoes.

It definitely would have been better to hold the game in Richmond.

yeah but were else can you get all you can drink beer for a $15 ticket. you are probably right about the seating though cant argue there. i was at the last game and i think your right they did spray the team benches. but i was on the grass and did not have a problem. but i was going crazy watching and playing drums, as a great game was played out not 10 feet before my eyes. that is the best part about the field. if your not to afraid to get a little grass on your ass you are right in the action.

see you this sat, good luck and safe trips to all who make the voyage.

I must admit the $15 dollar all you can drink pass is pretty impressive.

It would never work here in Vancouver (even if you charged $30 Cdn) because the average southsider drinks far in excess of that amount per match, and whoever is providing the beer would go broke.

Sounds good though, and I wish I could attend, however I don't have the 1 grand to afford the trip from Vancouver.

Milwaukeeans, and Wisconsinites in general, aren't exactly known for their aversion to beer drinking...

I have no idea how the Rampage are going to make money off this, I know I'll be drinking at least $15 worth. But my guess is it's more a way to draw people to the match, and to get them loud.

It's not unusual for Vancouvers Southsiders (and others come to think of it) to drink 6 or 8 beers or more during a match at $5 Cdn per beer. That may or may not be a lot to people in other cities, however they cut of beer sales at the game 10 minutes into the second half. I suppose this is to let people have a chance to sober up before the game ends, however all it does is encourage people to chug as much of it as they can before they stop the sales.

That is why my comment that the $15 beer pass in Vancouver would cause the sponsor to go broke. Before the game even kicked off the average person in the southside would have drank $15 worth.

If there's a long enough line and you can only get one beer at a time the problem will be solved. At the Kickers-Rhinos game here in Richmond the person in front of me took 20 minutes to get a coke.

Franklin is hardly 'nondescript'. It's a very nice suburb. I've lived in Virginia. Franklin is much nicer than Richmond ...

Maybe so but the stadium is nicer in Richmond.

No team likes losing on its home turf.

I brought back a few 'souvenirs' that proves this statement. Even though I used bug spray.

Was there a swamp around or something? The skeeters were terrible. No joke.

maybe i have built up an immunity but i did not come home with one bite, then again i was busy cheering and drumming. you guys make it sound like you cant watch the game. have never had a problem. maybe they can smell new blood. or maybe i stink, i reak of championship.

  19. there actually is a swamp over there, but on the other side of the building....and i wasn't bothered by mosquitos either..if you guys thought it was bad, then you would have hated it a couple of games earlier, cause they were horrible

Admittedly I have been known to attract mossies in the past. I didn't notice them at the game but I notice them now. I have five bites in one place on my back!
